Forums - Microsoft Discussion - question about XBox One

So XBox One is selling great yet some stock comes and go online every day. I didn't plan to get one this year because I wasn't expecting MS to be able to provide stock at a steady pace like that... So I might try to grab one of them in one of those flash sales online, but before that I need a couple question answered

-any of you, US owners could you please take a few second and give me the input specification on the power brick. Since I plan on importing from the US I'd like to know if I'll have to swap power bricks like on the 360???

-also could you give me the size of the box it came in so I can get a quote on international parcel shipment???

those are my main questions

now secondary questions:

-if anybody has an import from an other country than theirs at the moment have you had any issues with XBL or anything???

-should I expect any issues with it knowing that I have a US XBL account a US bank account linked to the XBL acct and I am behind a VPN located in the US, and that everything is working flawlessly for me on the 360 at the moment????

thanks for the answers and enjoy your ultimate entertainement machine, I know I will (as soon as I can get one)

Why would you need to change the power brick?

It takes a little more space than my PS3 phat because it has to be horizontal. Prob the biggest console Ive owned but also very sexy in person.

Idk about the import thing so i cant help you there

cause it was like that on the 360
in Europe we get current at 220 Volts and 50 Hz for alternative current while in the US you are at 110 Volts 60 Hz

while numerous device (computers and small appliances) do have a PSU that can accept power from 110V to 240V and 47 to 53 Hz and therefore be plug worldwide as long as you have a plug adaptor some of the bigger one do not always come with one like the 360 for instance or a lot of the bigger device (my TV and Amplifier are both 110 60hz only) and I have two choices here either to replace the PSU or to run my 3000 watt power converter...
Hz don't really matter usually since it is not a mechanical engine and the PSU converts it in direct current anyway

now for the size.... I'd like the size of the green box the Xbox ones comes in because there you have the second issue, shipment and while weight is a variable size is another one... those ass use dimensional weight

meaning they do in inches (W*H*L)/139 or take the actual weight if that one is higher in other words you can end up paying more to ship a teddy bear that weighs 1 pound than a lead brick that weights 4 pounds

snif nobody can at least take 1 minute to go check that power brick specification and take a tape measure to measure the box..... please please please... I know some of you are still in a food coma or recovering from some serious shopping frenzy... but I'd really appreciate it... :) *puppy eyes* lol

I can only speak on the XBL side of things as I am in Australia!

I have had ZERO issues with Xbox live since I purchased mine @ midnight launch. Downloading is fine and getting a game is fairly quick and easy :)

If you have Xbox Slim just look at its power brick... it's the same thing.
The only thing I didn't like about the power brick is that it's not 110V-245V anymore but that's why I have a lot of converters in the islands.

I'm talking about XB one....

I have a US XB 360 slim here in France and I had to swap power brick for it  the US one was 110V only and the european 220V-240V only... your XB 360 slim power brick was universal (110-240 ???) and you are saying the XB one is not any more ????

exactement mon ami...

It might be just the US version

Edit: I'm talking about XB1 also. My Slim is 100-245V to be exact.

Just checked it and it is 3rd party brick(just remembered).
