Forums - Sony Discussion - Problems with the Vita TV

It'll be patched to have DS4 support when PS4 comes out in Japan. Also it has usb doesn't it? So the storage shouldn't be a problem anymore.

The only flaw that matters is that it can't play every Vita game. Had they made it so that you could use the Vita as the controller, I'd have gotten a Vita today, and eagerly waited for a U.S. release of the Vita TV.

You can use a vita as a controller for some menu things, so it would be easy to patch in game support. Don't know why you'd want that though.

You don't know why I would want to play all the Vita games that can only be played on the Vita?

Don't know why you'd want to buy a Vita to use as a controller instead of just playing on the vita.

I think they actually want to fix the Vita name. Playstation TV wouldn't help the Vita as much. Vita TV will.

Also if they only named it PS TV it will be ridicouled by having Vita as its main parts and being able to play Vita games. By naming it VTV it closes all negative argument that could arise with that and like you said help the Vita brand name too.

As for the memory cards. Doesn't the VTV support External Storages? I mean it has USB 2.0 on the back. Maybe the memory slot is for those Vita games that requires them for saving and for Vita handheld owners. That way they don't need to transfer their saves if they want to play on the big screen. Of course, this are all optimism because I have no way of confirming this theory.

720p is more than enough and i'm glad there's no camera/touch games compatable because touch was crammed in unnecessaryily in golden abyss ans camera was a game stopper in liberation.

hopefully this means if i buy games in the future they won't have these feature. All in all this was a good idea. Since sony gave away provisioning profiles for free until sept, I guess things could start looking up.

For the same reason I bought a PSP-3000. I want the games, but only if I can play them on my TV. I don't have any reason to play games anywhere else, but my living room.

Do you have a wii u? Unlike the PSP, the Vita has a touch screen. Playing on the tv while touching the screen correctly just doesn't work. Video out would really only be useful for non touch based games and having other people watch. Well PSVITA.TV can already play all those games that don't need touch.

he would want to play his games on the TV, not just some ALL his Vita games on TV and since their is no HDMI cable option like the PSP 2000 and up had, this is the only way for now.

Hell half the games i own isnt even compatible with the thing.
