Interesting... the PS4 GPU is a DX 11.2+ compatible... the Xbone uses a 11.1+ compatible.





So is that 47 mb cache a good or a bad thing?

PS4 can use DX11.9000 if it wants... but DX 11.2 is exclusive to microsofts platforms.

The PS4 won't use any DirectX at all... I'm saying the hardware (GPU) is compatible... slide from GamesCom... and DX11.2 is not exclusive at hardware level... just software.



The slide is so blurry but the eSRAM runs at peak 204GB/s in a 4x 256bits bus (8 modules of 8MB)... there a 109GB/s (real speed) but I can't say what is write.

this isn't about the Dx version used, it's about the feature set of the hardware, as Sony ofcourse uses it's own API (Dx might be available for less ambitious Devs though for easier multi plat development)
