Though I've never really gotten so far into a game of TaB to build a Thanatos unit, I can say they definitely look op from the looks of the video:

I've also discovered from his videos, that the Lucifer unit is basically useless, as they can get swarmed easily and their flame throwers also damage friendly units. Thanatos seems like the superior choice, especially considering that their splash damage does next to no damage to anyone but the zombies.

I have managed to get a Thanatos, and yeah: he seems pretty powerful.
Unfortunately I have not been able to get to the part where I could train them.
So I don't know how they operate in groups, or if they are worth the investment.

I plan to go back to the game when they add a bit more content.
What they have there is very promising.

Dear god are they op as fuck when used in groups of 5-8. They can easily take out doomed cities with such ease, and you don't even have to worry about the zeds that flow from the cities, as they get blown away by the blast wave.

I'd say Thanatos are a far better investment than Lucifer's and those mechs with mini guns. Thanatos units can also backhand zeds that get up close, which usually takes a swing or two.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

Perhaps they can balance that by having a second unit that feeds shells / ammo to units.

Maybe a unit that you can build early on, that when near other units, increases their attack speed.
If you make Thanatos dependent on that unit, then the game may likely feel more balanced.

In EVE online, the biggest battle in history is happening in system 9-4RP2. We peaked at 6000 players in system.
Fight has started around 7pm aand is going to go to the downtime at 11 am. There must be 8000 players involved in systems around.

This is madness ^^

Server has massive delays however it's surprisingly holding.

EDIT I delogged, thought we would fail....

Our Keepstar is safe, I can't believe it. We won.

It will never cease to amaze me how big the battles at EVE can be.

And congrats for winning.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is very cheap on Steam right now
http://www.pcgamer.com/dragons-dogma-dark-arisen-is-very-cheap-on-steam-right-now/
During the holidays I started a new playthrough of Dragon's Dogma, and while I barely made a dent in it (it's a long game), it did remind me that there's still nothing else like it. Anyway, it's super cheap on Steam at the moment – $9.99, down from the usual $29.99. At that price (and assuming you have the money) it's pretty much essential. And if you don't like it, you can either a) let it sit unplayed in your library forever or b) maybe try having better opinions?

Now, a Wall Street market analyst has declared Destiny 2 as "not in a good place", with player interest in the space opera shooter in decline.

Two Point Hospital is a new management sim from the creators of Theme Hospital, that aims to bring the tongue-in-cheek ethos of Bullfrog's late '90s classic to the modern age. As we've seen already, Light Headedness echoes the likes of Bloaty Head and Slack Tongue—and now the game's latest behind-the-scenes short demonstrates who you'll fix it.

>>The remedy for that illness is probably not what you're expecting. Or maybe it is, being based on Theme Hospital.

^^^ Since AMD dropped the ball completely, it's not that you have any real choice at that price range.

I thought you were going for something a bit more low end? The only option on the AMD camp would be an RX 560, if you can find any...

In any case, you've choosen the worst time to upgrade. And it won't get better anytime soon.

I've got £158 to spend, give or take a couple quid, and it's all store credit... so going any lower end isn't really worthwhile, nothing else to spend the store credit on

Besides, I thought the 1050 was pretty low end still? Oh, and another important question, I noticed the GTX 1050, and the RX560 that you just mentioned, don't support all the same outputs that my current card do. I'm currently using the white cable for the monitor, no idea whether that's vga, dvi or whatever. My monitor doesn't have any HDMI input slots though. So would either of those cards work with that cable, or alternatively with a vga/dvi to hdmi cable?

There are lower cards than a 1050, like the 1030, but you mentioned the 1050Ti, which is a tad better than the 1050.

It would be something like: 1030 >> 1050 > 1050Ti >> 1060 3GB > 1060 6GB, etc.

As for the display connector, I'd look at what you have before buying anything. No new card features VGA output, and the least you can find is a DVI port.

I'm wondering if that would even work in my current PC as well as other options.

I wouldn't buy an AMD anyway, I've literally heard nothing but bad things about their GPUs

I had ATI/AMD for a long time - my last nVidia GPU (prior to current one) was GeForce 4 Ti4400, some 15 years ago - ATI/AMD were all quite ok, especially since for the longest time they had best bang per buck...but these days they just...suck.

Anyway, currently you're pretty much out of options - even if you wanted to buy AMD, they are priced insanely high due to cryptos.
