That's very strange, mostly given the date (it's not the end of first of a month, when most deals tend to expire). I wonder if it will be hard to fix and how they'll explain it.

The date matches, apparently, since their certificates were due to expire May 4th at midnight. Dial back the clock manually and add-ons can be downloaded and start to work again. Either way, a tremendous oversight that shouldn't have happened outside of Beta Firefox if you ask me.

For instance, lawyers (and others) here need digital certificates to digitally sign their work. A lot of software for government agencies also work only on Firefox...

It is absolutely bullshit is what it is... What are all these flashy things taking up all my screen real estate? Haha

Same here, I think I never realized how disgusting the Internet can actually look.

In the meantime, I'm enabling the add-ons temporarily through the debugging feature until I'm sure they've 100% fixed it.

According to the release notes, CEMU 1.15.6 reworks UI and removed deprecated options, removes experimental menu and makes RDTSC always enabled, removes support for conventional shaders and forces CPU timer mode to be always ‘host based’.
Furthermore, this new version adds UI to configure game profiles, includes an option to set controller profiles, adds tooltips for some of the settings, and brings accuracy tweaks in HIDRead() that should improve support and increase stability for Skylanders and Lego USB portals.

Duke Forces Version 2.10, Star Wars: Dark Forces mod for Duke Nukem 3D, adds new sprites
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/duke-forces-version-2-10-star-wars-dark-forces-mod-for-duke-nukem-3d-adds-new-sprites/
Modder ‘DeeperThought’ released a brand new version of his Star Wars Dark Forces mod for Duke Nukem 3D. Duke Forces is a Star Wars themed total conversion for Duke Nukem 3D that is based mostly on the Dark Forces game and its brand new version, 2.10, is mostly a cosmetic update with a few bug fixes and balance tweaks.
Duke Forces works with all Duke Nukem 3D levels and automatically converts weapons, enemies, textures, sprites, music (pretty much everything into Star Wars content).
Version 2.10 adds new improved sprites for Sith, Gamorrean enemy, new Star Wars themed babe sprites to replace strippers, upscaled sprites for most enemies and replaces the “west wuz won” map with the “shocking twist” map. In addition, this new version packs miscellaneous minor graphical effect improvements, reduces both player shield amounts and health amounts for most enemies, makes weapon zoom snappier and allows the shotgun to have more ammo.

Duke Nukem 3D remake in Serious Sam 3 looks absolutely glorious & is way better than Duke Nukem Forever
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/duke-nukem-3d-remake-in-serious-sam-3-looks-absolutely-glorious-and-better-than-duke-nukem-forever/
A few hours ago, we informed you about a Star Wars Dark Forces mod for Duke Nukem 3D. However, we have even greater news for all you Duke Nukem fans out there. Steam member ‘Syndroid’ has released a remake of the classic Duke Nukem 3D game in Serious Sam 3 that works with VR and looks miles better than Duke Nukem Forever.
Now the reason I’m bringing Duke Nukem Forever is because this Duke Nukem 3D remake uses all of character and weapon assets. Instead of creating new 3D models, Syndroid used those that were used for Duke Nukem Forever. And to the modder’s credit, the combination of the recreated levels and the remixes for the classic DN3D songs with the new 3D models that were created for Duke Nukem Forever is incredible.
As the mod’s description reads, and while the main idea is to remake the classic Duke 3D experience in Serious Sam 3, some modern elements have been added to the mix. For instance, the levels have been expanded and occasional enemy waves/arena fights are present now.
Syndroid has currently recreated the four levels from the L.A. Meltdown episode and his goal is to remake all the 5 main levels from it. The modder may also remake E2L1 as a bonus afterwards.
>> This one is on Steam.

New The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project comparison video showcases numerous improved textures
https://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/new-the-witcher-3-hd-reworked-project-comparison-video-showcases-numerous-improved-textures/
Modder ‘Halk Hogan PL’ has released a new video for the upcoming new version of his amazing graphics/texture mod for The Witcher 3, The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project. This new video compares some of the textures that have been overhauled with the vanilla ones, and the visual difference is a bit shocking.

This Resident Evil 2 Remake mod lets you play as Excella Gionne from Resident Evil 5
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/this-resident-evil-2-remake-mod-lets-you-play-as-excella-gionne-from-resident-evil-5/
Xorrito78 has released a brand new mod for Resident Evil 2 Remake that lets you play as Excella Gionne from Resident Evil 5. According to the modder, Excella’s face is fully functional and animated, and there are proper body physics.
This mod replaces Elza Walker and is divided in two parts (head and body for further customization). Those interested can download the mod from here and you can install it via FluffyQuack’s mod manager.

Experimental Doom Remake 4 version adds more lights, improves PBR materials, supports Vulkan API
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/experimental-doom-remake-4-version-adds-more-lights-improves-pbr-materials-supports-vulkan-api/
Modder ‘vasyan777’ has released a brand new version of the Doom Remake 4 mod for the classic Doom games. According to the changelog, this experimental version comes with texture lights script which adds more lights making PBR materials reflecting, though it is also more resource hungry than the previously released version.
In case you aren’t aware of, Doom Remake 4 is basically a compilation of mods that make the classic Doom games look more polished and aesthetic. This mod features High Resolution Textures with PBR materials, 3D models of every object and enemy, New HUD (modified DoomVisor), as well as Brutal mods with plenty of blood and gibs.
This latest experimental version also supports the Vulkan API (alongside OpenGL), though you’ll have to disable motion blur otherwise you will get a blank screen.

Massive Dark Souls 'Daughters of Ash' mod now available for Remastered edition
https://www.pcgamer.com/massive-dark-souls-daughters-of-ash-mod-now-available-for-remastered-edition/
Back in January we wrote about Daughters of Ash, a long-in-development mod for Dark Souls that adds piles of new material to the game. At the time it was only available for the original 'Prepare to Die' PC release of Dark Souls, but now compatible with the 2018 Remastered release of Dark Souls, too.

Here's a mod to make Fallout 4 characters look anime
https://www.pcgamer.com/heres-a-mod-to-make-fallout-4-characters-look-anime/
If you thought the problem with Fallout 4 was that its characters didn't have big enough eyes and small enough noses then here's the mod for you. It's called Animerace Nanakochan and it transforms Fallout 4's women into winsome anime ladies. (The modder has no plans to do the same for the Commonwealth's men.)
The mod works both on the player-character and NPCs and you can see how character creation works in the video below. It seems like there are some issues with longer hairstyles clipping through clothes, but that's a common problem in any game that allows extensive character creation.
>> Get it from Nexus Mods.

Play Overwatch with a Portal gun thanks to this new Workshop mod
https://www.pcgamer.com/play-overwatch-with-a-portal-gun-thanks-to-this-new-workshop-mod/
Modders have brought Chell's portal gun to Overwatch.
Created with Overwatch Workshop, a new, in-game modding tool, the gun isn't just cosmetic, either. Thanks to Overwatch Workshop's ability to let players change game's rules to accommodate new modes and features, the gun can be used to fire entrance and exit portals, too. It even obeys Portal's own law of "speedy thing goes in, speedy thing goes out", allowing players to build up momentum and fling themselves all over the map.
>> Use the code BE2J7 to unlock the mode in the workshop.

Play Torbjörn Golf thanks to the Overwatch Workshop
https://www.pcgamer.com/play-torbjorn-golf-thanks-to-the-overwatch-workshop/
When you hear the phrase "Torbjörn Golf" you might get a picture in your head of the Overwatch hero using a hammer like a golf club, maybe on a golf ball, or maybe just on Wrecking Ball. Now watch the video of Torbjörn Golf, and see what it actually looks like.
The player responsible for making this new mode in the Overwatch Workshop went in a different direction with the idea. Torbjörn is the golf ball, and powers up (you can see the number at the top of the screen increasing), then launches himself like Winston does with his jump pack attack.
>> The code for this mod is QT7TQ.

When Respawn added its widely-requested reporting tool to Apex Legends in the March 19 Season One update, almost half a million players had already been banned for using such cheats. 44 days later, the studio now says that a total 770,000 players have been banned, partly off the back of this new reporting system.

Spleen is a watercolor RPG about childhood nostalgia, now on Kickstarter

Spleen is part-life-sim, part-2D RPG, part-commentary on the mundanity of adult life, and it's now on Kickstarter, looking for CA$90,000 by the end of the month.
The "PC-first" game, from Montreal-based studio Pamplemousse Games, certainly looks the part: its backgrounds are wonderful watercolor creations, and the main character Johann drags a giant yellow sword behind him, much like the protagonist in Supergiant's Transistor. Combat looks flashy and acrobatic, a mixture of dashes, wall jumps and quick combos.

Plants vs. Zombies turns 10, creator shows original designs
https://www.pcgamer.com/plants-vs-zombies-turns-10-creator-shows-original-designs/
George Fan created Plants vs. Zombies 10 years ago. To celebrate that anniversary, he's been showing off his original design documents and sketches on Twitter. As you can see from his notes, originally the enemies were supposed to be aliens rather than zombies—specifically the aliens from his previous game, Insaniquarium, which he was planning to make a sequel to. Once he drew his first zombie he changed his mind, and that original sketch bears a strong resemblance to the undead who eventually made it into the game.

The Triglavians will invade EVE Online later this month
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-triglavians-will-invade-eve-online-later-this-month/
The universe of EVE: Online is set to get a major shake-up this month. EVE Online: Invasion launches May 28, bringing the hostile race known as the Triglavians into New Eden.
Developer CCP says it’s a literal invasion, and on a scale never before seen in the game. The Triglavians can currently be encountered in Abyssal Deadspace, the instanced PvE environment that was introduced with the Into the Abyss expansion last year. It seems they’ve gotten tired of waiting for daring pilots to wander into their front yards and are taking the fight to EVE’s more familiar systems, where CCP says they’ll be moving to the “forefront of the game.”

Resident Evil 2 Remake exceeded Capcom’s expectations, Devil May Cry 5 also performed strongly
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/resident-evil-2-remake-exceeded-capcoms-expectations-devil-may-cry-5-also-performed-strongly/
Capcom has released the Fiscal Report for the Forth and Final Quarter of the Fiscal Year 2018/2019 that ended March 2019. During that final quarter, Resident Evil 2 Remake saw a great success and Devil May Cry 5 also performed well. Furthermore, Monster Hunter: World, which shook up the market last year, broke 12 million cumulative units shipped following the additional release of the PC version, marking a record high for any single title in the Company’s history.
As the press release reads, the popularity of major title Resident Evil 2 exceeded expectations, driving the Company’s business performance. Devil May Cry 5 targeted overseas markets and also performed strongly, backed by consistent demand. Additionally, the Monster Hunter series contributed significantly to improving profits: flagship title Monster Hunter: World, which was a phenomenal success in the previous fiscal year, maintained popularity through the expansion of its user base, while the Steam version for PC also performed solidly, boosting profits.
In addition, Mega Man 11 and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection performed well, and high-margin cataloge titles, including Resident Evil 7 biohazard, increased sales through their enduring popularity.

New Reshade mod aims to bring ray tracing Global Illumination to DX9, DX10 and DX11 games
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/new-reshade-aims-to-bring-ray-tracing-global-illumination-to-dx9-dx10-and-dx11-games/
Pascal Gilcher is currently working on a ray traced Global Illumination method for ReShade. What this ultimately means is that PC gamers will be able to enable this ray tracing Global Illumination technique in all DX9, DX10 and DX11 (something that will obviously give a visual boost to a lot of older games).
This ray tracing Global Illumination method is currently in a beta phase and Gilcher aims to make it beta-worthy for its Patreon members soon, and release it afterwards to the general public.
According to Gilcher, the major constraint at this point is performance, meaning that this technique will increase the overall GPU requirements for older titles. Still, we believe that this is something that a lot of PC gamers will at least try once.

Tuesday news, part two:

Fortnite Season 9 kicks off this week
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-season-9-kicks-off-this-week/
With the Unvaulting behind us, it’s time to get ready for a brand new season of Fortnite. Season 9 will begin this week, and Epic Games has tweeted a teaser image along with the date: May 9.

The Swords of Ditto has a massive free update that removes permadeath
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-swords-of-ditto-has-a-massive-free-update-that-removes-permadeath/
You may remember The Swords of Ditto, the Zelda-like action RPG with the utterly charming art style from a year ago. While we quite liked the game, there were complaints about its punishing permadeath system. Developer onebitbeyond has released a big new update for The Swords of Ditto, and permadeath is now a thing of the past.

NetherRealm is 'actively' investigating workplace complaints
https://www.pcgamer.com/netherrealm-studios-is-actively-investigating-workplace-complaints/
Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm Studios has told Variety that it is investigating a recent spate of complaints by former employees and contractors about working conditions at the studio. The allegations came to attention last month when James Longstreet, a former software engineer at NetherRealm, posted a Twitter thread saying that working on Mortal Kombat 9 at the studio "nearly killed" him.

Riot Games employees stage walkout over forced arbitration
https://www.pcgamer.com/riot-games-employees-are-expected-to-walk-out-today/
Kotaku reports that employees at League of Legends developer Riot Games are preparing for a walkout this afternoon to protest the company's practice of forcing employee lawsuits into private arbitration, as well as what they consider an insufficient response to the problems which led to those lawsuits. The lawsuits came in the wake of last year's in-depth Kotaku report which exposed pervasive sexism at the studio.
Update: Upcomer has posted a trio of photos taken at the walkout on Twitter.

Ferret Scoundrels, the game about pirates who are ferrets, comes to Early Access this week
https://www.pcgamer.com/ferret-scoundrels-the-game-about-pirates-who-are-ferrets-comes-to-early-access-this-week/
Ferret Scoundrels, the game about adorable little weasel-type creatures who ply the seas in search of plunder, will launch into Steam Early Access on May 9. Developer Cryogenic Entertainment said the demo it released in April "was a great success," and it is now working on fixing bugs and adding new features.

GOG rejected Heaven's Vault, but is now having second thoughts
https://www.pcgamer.com/gog-rejected-heavens-vault-but-is-now-having-second-thoughts/
Heaven's Vault is a really good archaeological adventure game that "does a beautiful job of letting you unlock a language, and thus a dialogue of sorts, with the past, via a wonderfully engaging protagonist," as we said in our recent 88% review. It's available on Steam but not GOG, which in itself is not all that unusual: Lots of games are available on some storefronts and not others. Inkle's previous releases, the outstanding 80 Days, is on GOG, for instance, but the one before that, the also-excellent Sorcery!, is not.

Latest Borderlands 3 controversy involves an alleged physical assault against former Claptrap voice actor (Updated)
https://www.pcgamer.com/latest-borderlands-3-controversy-involves-an-alleged-physical-assault-against-former-claptrap-voice-actor/
Former Claptrap voice actor David Eddings has accused Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford of physical assault, following a week of controversy regarding his absence in the forthcoming Borderlands 3.
Update: Gearbox has responded to our request for comment. It continues to refrain from commenting on the $12 million accusation, a reference to a lawsuit from January, which is an 'ongoing investigation'. It has responded to the physical assault allegation with this statement: "Gearbox takes any and all claims of this nature very seriously and we will abstain from commenting on the allegations Dave is making because it is a personnel matter. We appreciate David’s contributions to the Borderlands franchise and have continued to assert we would welcome him back into the mix as the voice of Claptrap and other future opportunities."

SALES & DEALS

Electronic Arts has ended its fiscal year with strong growth thanks to its live services business
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/electronic-arts-has-ended-its-fiscal-year-with-strong-growth-thanks-to-its-live-services-business/
It’s no secret that a lot of players hate microtransactions and the “live services” that more and more games are currently implementing. However, it appears that these services are really profitable for publishers as EA has just announced that it saw a strong growth in its Forth and Final Quarter of the Fiscal Year 2018/2019 thanks to them.
(...)
EA also noted that its digital net bookings for the trailing twelve months was $3.722 billion were up 5% year-over-year, representing 75% of total net bookings. Furthermore, in FY19, more than 45 million unique players engaged in FIFA 19 and FIFA 18 on console and PC and the active players in The Sims 4 have increased by 35% year-over-year.
>> The Sims 4 won't die, will it? In any case, this article is a bit misleading as things aren't as rosy.

Anthem did not meet EA’s expectations, Battlefield 5 Firestorm battle royale is biggest BF live service event
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/anthem-did-not-meet-eas-expectations-battlefield-5-firestorm-battle-royale-is-biggest-bf-live-service-event/
During its conference call for the fiscal fourth quarter and fiscal year ended March 31, 2019, Electronic Arts revealed that Anthem’s launch did not meet its expectations. This shouldn’t obviously surprise us, however this is the first time the publisher comments on the game’s sales.
According to EA, players have spent over 150 million hours in Anthem since launch and its development team is currently focused on content /fixes for it.
On the other hand, Battlefield 5’s battle royale mode was a success and the publisher declared it as biggest Battlefield live service event ever.

Kholat, exploration first-person horror game, has now more than 3.5 million users
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/kholat-exploration-first-person-horror-game-has-now-more-than-3-5-million-users/
IMGN.PRO has announced that its exploration first-person horror game, Kholat, has been played by 3.5 million users so far. Narrated by one of the most popular British actors, Sean Bean, Kholat is an exploration adventure game with elements of horror, inspired by a true event known as the Dyatlov Pass incident.
In case you weren’t aware of, Dyatlov Pass incident was a real story that happened in winter of 1959. Nine skilled alpinists went for a trip to the northern part of Ural Mountains, which ended fatally. Bodies of expedition’s crew were found scattered on slope of Kholat Syakhl.

According to the team, this tech demo runs at 1080p with 30 fps on that particular AMD graphics card with reflections and refractions being calculated at full screen resolution. At half screen resolution, Crytek is able to run this tech demo at 1440p with 40+ fps.
These CRYENGINE real-time ray tracing effects do not currently benefit from any additional performance that modern APIs like Vulkan or DX12 or dedicated hardware. However, the team aims to add support for RTX in the near future. The benefits of RTX will be higher performance and the presence of more dynamic elements in the scene.

There is now an XCOM satellite in orbit around our planet
https://www.pcgamer.com/there-is-now-an-xcom-satellite-in-orbit-around-our-planet/
Not to alarm anyone, but it seems that the XCOM program has officially launched into Earth orbit. We’re sure this is just fine, and that it does not necessarily indicate our certain doom at the hands of hostile alien entities.
Actually, the XCOM that lifted off from Kennedy Space Center May 4 was part of a suite of experiments destined for the International Space Station. This version stands for X-ray Communication, and it’s meant to demonstrate NASA and the Naval Research Laboratory’s ability to use the X-ray band for signal transmission.

How to start Destiny 2's secret quest for the Outbreak Perfected exotic weapon
https://www.pcgamer.com/destiny-2-outbreak-perfected-exotic-guide/

Don't worry, we'll make it easy on you. To kick off the secret scavenger hunt leading to the Outbreak Perfected exotic weapon (which we'll refrain from detailing here while it's still a fresh mystery) head to Titan first.

Downhill biking game Descenders adds multiplayer as it exits Early Access
https://www.pcgamer.com/downhill-biking-game-descenders-adds-multiplayer-as-it-exits-early-access/
Descenders is a downhill freeriding game where the worlds and trails are procedurally generated so you'll never quite know what to expect. It just left Early Access today and got a big feature update: Multiplayer. While you're challenging yourself with terrifying speeds down narrow, winding paths and hurtling through dizzying jumps upside-down, you'll now find yourself racing alongside other players.

Minecraft Classic brings the original 2009 version to web browsers, for free
https://www.pcgamer.com/minecraft-classic-brings-the-original-2009-version-to-web-browsers-for-free/
It's been ten years since the first public version of Minecraft released on the TIGSource forums, and a lot has happened since then: Microsoft owns it, 74 million people play it monthly, and there's even a film adaptation in the offing. It's original creator, Markus "Notch" Persson, has been scrubbed from its credits.
Unlike say, World of Warcraft, Minecraft has received ongoing additions and improvements rather than huge fundamental changes, so it's hard to feel nostalgic for its past. But in case you do, the very first public build of Minecraft is now available to play. Best of all it's free, and you can do it right now in your web browser.

Also, I think I didn't broke anything, but rather someone was busy working on the site and the news were a collateral damage.
