With the Wii U struggling at retail at the moment, should Nintendo re-launch the system with a price-cut or more value added to the system.  I for one personally wouldn't mind seeing a the system being unified to only the 32GB version with a digital version(DV) of NintendoLand pack-in for $299.99(they could take away all the un-necessary plastic holders if they wish).  Or they could keep the status quo on the price and just add NintendoLand(DV) to the basic bundle at $299.99 and add NSMB:Wii U to the Deluxe Version along with NintendoLand (all DV) for $349.99.  When should Nintendo do this, should coincide with a major release as well.  Seeing that Mario 3D world isn't out till Dec and MK8 next year; the other big release Nintendo has are Pikmin3 and 101 out between Aug and September.  That would be a perfect time to re-launch the system and gain some momentum before the behemoths that is X1 and the PS4 are launched sometime this November.

Just bundle an extra game maybe but also increase the hard drive size for the same price.

Kinda' hard to increase the memory since they are using a flash drive!!! To be honest I don't understand why they chose such expensive storage option for the Wii U.

BTW anybody care to think when they should re-launch the system. It'll be suicidal for them (IMHO) to cut the price of the system this November or Dec when the PS4 and X1 launches.

Price difference between a comparable 32GB and 64GB SSD is less than $20. 

When else should they do it? Do you think they should bury their heads in the sand and hope the whole PS4 & XB1 thing blows over instead?

They should create a stronger console that costs more than Wii-u. Have a lot of the new Nintentdo games work on the Wii u as to not give the loyalist a big f u. Its the best thing Nintendo could do to be honest. (compromise) M$ dropping the xbox and going on to the 360 did them more good than harm.

SSD is very fast as storage and is very quickly getting cheap. I guess Nintendo choose it to keep the Wii U small. 

I know but to cut the price by $50 and increase build cost by $20 doesn't make financial sense to any company.  Regardless of 32GB or 64GB flash mem; you sitll have to pick up a USB hard-drive for the system.  I got this one and it matches my Deluxe Wii U version down to the LED light:

I think they should weather the storm for now. No need for a mass panic relaunch atm. The games are coming, they just need to be ready to market the crap out of them once they're here!
