It is as it always is with Nintendo. Never what you actually hoped for, but what you get is unexpected and neat.

Not pleased that Retro's doing another Donkey Kong, but i can see where Nintendo would make that decision (DCKR sold twice what the best-selling Metroid Prime did). Similar with pursuing Super Mario 3D World rather than a grander Sunshine/Galaxy style game, due to how well 3D Land did in terms of sales (and 3D World seems to be much more dynamic with a lot more going on, including distinct playable characters, etc).

Seriously wasn't expecting Villager to make it into Smash, given that they got a stage but no character last time around. Megaman was expected, but the fullness of the roster needs looking into.

Bayonetta w/ short hair. Hmm...
