Forums - Sony Discussion - New PS3 Bundle at 299.99 implies no price cut for console?

Does the new GTAV bundle at 299.99 imply we will not be seeing a PS3 price drop anytime soon?

Lifetime Sales Prediction - 6/29/2013
Wii U - 38 million
XBOX One - 88 million
Playstation 4 - 145 million

MS didn't cut the price of the mini 360 either. I guess they're both gonna milk these things as long as they can.

They want to make as much money on PS3 as they can so that they offset any PS4 losses.

PS4 is far too cheap considering how powerful it is! Can't believe it's only 100 under this PS3 bundle.

I'm shocked.

Keeping the price at $300 will make PS4 seem like a much better value at $400.

Also PS4 is probably sold at a pretty big loss, not PS3 big but very well $100+ loss, so they will want PS3 to offset those losses as much as possible.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Just wait until the Wii U price cut at the end of the year, that's when you'll see it happen. Same for the new 360.

It could only mean 3 things.

1. They are announcing a price cut at gamescom again or TGS.

2. To offset the losses they might incur on PS4.

3. They are planning a Move bundle and the massive bundle of games (2-3 games).
