Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Web Frame Work and Indie Outreach

I caught an article on Gamasutra (or was it GameIndustry International?) that covered how Nintendo streamlined the process of becoming a developer for them. So I looked into it.

My team, From Nothing Game Studios (we're on Facebook and have a regular website) is now an authorized developer for Wii U (TM). We're holding off a bit on a full update to this notion on our website or Facebook page until we have certain hardware in-hand and are starting our testing on it.

But I pretty much crapped myself when we received word. We're planning on upgrading and releasing our puzzle game, GravBlocks (released in Google Play for Android devices) on the system as soon as we are able, but are also now well into development of a new game.

Won't say what, will say that most of our team is made up of fans of XCOM and Fire Emblem.

Already knew about the Indie situation, but the last part I found very amusing about the outrage towards Microsoft heading. X'D

That's great to hear, strategy games on the gamepad should be pretty awesome! Looking forward for any updates on your game!!

OT: I hope we see a good wave of indie games on the wiiU and 3ds soon. I bet most Indie devs should be waiting a bit to see what nintendo has to offer to reinvigorate WiiU sells before they completely jump on board.

Shame that Intelligent Systems didn't go with the "Fire Emblem set on Mars" idea, then. :)

*does research*

Good work. Somebody needs to provide Wii U fans the Tetris Attack game they deserve.
