Actually Google does it best no denying it.

Sorry, disagree.

Try looking into enterprise cloud offerings.  One leads the way.

But anyway, Whats googles next gen console called?

What does that mean?

OT: I guess the Xbox one has lots of potential.

Yeah, because everyone likes always on and cloud gaming...

In all seriousness, this is a reasonably good idea, though I would hope that it isn't a requirement. Maybe it could be done in such a way that it is optional, so you can get a 4K version using the cloud?

As for Sony vs Microsoft, Sony do own Gaikai so they are probably capable of matching it

cloud gaming became awesome when Sony bought Gaikai for a ridiclous price.

Sony bought it for a ridiculous price? Please prove with facts and sources.

MS does cloud better than anyone.

I don't think people realise this.

It's a core business for them.

MS does not own the cables from anyone's computer to every substation to every server, hence MS does not own the ping rates of anyone's connection

MD does not give out free flat rates for everyone.

I think all the people realise this.

It's a core capability of people's brains.

Forget this silly "we do it in the cloud". Works for downloading porn. Does not work for calculating screens and reacting to user input.

Can someone please explain how cloud can make it more powerful?

Developers can offload things like physics, AI, and load times to the cloud to massively free up the CPU and GPU.

Theoretically it coukd make things like 4k gaming a reality

its probably that they could handle calculations on the cloud servers. and use it to push the processing power of the console.

one is leading it and that one is also rolling out gigabit fiber. And you said Microsoft is leading in cloud not cloud gaming which MS hasn't proven itself in unlike gaikai and onlive. What does any of it have to do with google having a console. U act like MS is best at everything they do which is false. Windows 8 and Office are the best products on the market imo but other then that MS isn't the best at anything.

People need to differentiate cloud streaming and cloud processing when it comes to gaming. They are not the same.

WOW O.O That is crazy. I know there is a first party studio working on a few cloud based projects (Can't remember which one) so now Im very interested to see what they are.

As far as the industry goes, Amazon beats them all.

For this though, It has so much potential to be amazing.  Im looking forward to more information on it.
