Hint: Six months late

Sooo, i say the problem is nintendo fans dont buy 3rd party for stupid reasons and your argument is that the real problem is that nintendo games are 6 months late? thanks for confirming my point.

I already bought the game six months before it was released on the WiiU, why would I buy it again? And Ubisoft seems to be satisfied enough to port their major games over in fall, Capcom and TT also had some good sales with MH and Lego City. WiiU owners do buy 3rd party games, what they don't buy are late ports.

Thanks for confirming my low opinion of you.

But let me ask you this then: how come Mass Effect 2 sold fairly well on PS3, when it was released 6 months after the X360 version and wasn't superior in any way, while NFSMW was released after the PS360 version and was superior but didn't sell at all...? I mean... that IS weird!

and mass effect had a massive library to contend with, the wiiu has very little else to buy at the time......

that would be around about the time nintendo released a console and expected buyers to wait a full year for first party games...

So, I actually read your whole post and sadly there is nothing more than to say: wrong. Sorry, but this thread isn't even worth to post a more detailed answer.

Yes, people not buying software, even when its the best version, even when the developer defends the console, the complete opposite of why most wiiu owners claim they dont buy 3rd party, selling less than one copy for ever 230+ systems isnt down to nintendo fans being stubborn, it isnt down to nintendo fans holding out for games half a year away from release, and if the wiiu does badly, its because those publishes didnt port over their engines and spend millions supporting the wiiu.....   for games wiiu owners wouldnt buy anyway, right?

Ok, one last small hint: not every Nintendo-buyer is automatically a "fan". The topic why and how people are buying certain games and not other games is a topic on its own and definitely way more complicated than your op. I'll leave now :)

come back when you have a valid argument to explain why nfsmw sold so little despite its obvious benefits and developers attitude.

Maybe because everyone who wanted to play it already played it?  That game was already on the market for months. Wii owners also got a PS360 for the games Wii didn't get. Releasing old ports and expecting a million sells is EA's excuse to avoid Wii U and many more third parties. Pretending old games have to sell above a million on a console that's just 5/6 months on the market? Just unbelievable. Even their beloved PS360 sold poorly in the first months. The same will happen with PS4/Xbox 3.

So... If Wii gamers already have a PS360 to play all the games Wii didn't get... Why get a Wii U at all then? There's like 4 exclusive games worth having right now. I mean, that is a troublesome thought! That would mean Wii U probably won't get much 3rd party support because gamers will get a PS720 "for all the games Wii U isn't getting", which leads to a downward spiral....

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Actually that was pretty decent argument, when you look at the current sales numbers. Care to refute his argument instead of just lolling?

its nice to know there are at least some intelligent folk on these forums willing to think about things beyond a knee jerk reaction, you hav my gratitude.

im just so tired of seeing the 'screw third parties we dont need them if theyre going to talk crap about the wiiu', when said 3rd parties are given little to no reason to support the console.

Why spend heaps of cash to release a title on the wiiu if your efforts are rewarded with such poor sales simply because youre not first party?

they of course claim its down to shoddy ports or old ports, yet shoddy and old ports sell just fine on other systems, hmmm
