Hint: Six months late

Sooo, i say the problem is nintendo fans dont buy 3rd party for stupid reasons and your argument is that the real problem is that nintendo games are 6 months late? thanks for confirming my point.

I already bought the game six months before it was released on the WiiU, why would I buy it again? And Ubisoft seems to be satisfied enough to port their major games over in fall, Capcom and TT also had some good sales with MH and Lego City. WiiU owners do buy 3rd party games, what they don't buy are late ports.

Thanks for confirming my low opinion of you.

The reason why people aren't buying something isn't going to be the same for everyone. To make your product sell, it has to be appealing in more than 1 way.

Since this is a gaming console we're talking about. Then the main reason to sell a console is games games games. WiiU can haz no gamez.

yes quite, why would they buy the superior version?, when clearly they all own a ps3, 360 or both too.

also sorry, wasnt aware you bought the game 2 months before it was even released, how silly of me.

Still haven't seen anyone refute the claims in the OP yet... I only think this is part of the problem. But people always argue "Wait until the 1st party games comes out, THEN games will start to sell". Yes, 1st party games will sell, but I doubt 3rd party games sales are going to pick up. Who's gonna buy CoD43 when we got 3D Mario, or Mario Kart?

3rd parties would do best and release games when Nintendo aren't, buuuut... that didn't help Need for Speed, did it? I can understand why Mass Effect 3 didn't sell too well on Wii U... But what about Darksiders? That was a 3-4 month old port? That's not THAT old....

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

wtf :D
I own every console and bought NfS MW for the 360 because I prefer the controls. Also, it was only rumoured to be a Wii U title later on. Nobody knew it would be superior and I won't buy it again. It's huge enough on one console and EA gets enough of my money already.
Way to go, judging all this on one or two games/ports. I don't love the Wii U but still, it deserves to do better. Nonetheless, people overreact. It's not doing overly bad etc. Negativeness ftw

So, I actually read your whole post and sadly there is nothing more than to say: wrong. Sorry, but this thread isn't even worth to post a more detailed answer.

Yes, people not buying software, even when its the best version, even when the developer defends the console, the complete opposite of why most wiiu owners claim they dont buy 3rd party, selling less than one copy for ever 230+ systems isnt down to nintendo fans being stubborn, it isnt down to nintendo fans holding out for games half a year away from release, and if the wiiu does badly, its because those publishes didnt port over their engines and spend millions supporting the wiiu.....   for games wiiu owners wouldnt buy anyway, right?

Ok, one last small hint: not every Nintendo-buyer is automatically a "fan". The topic why and how people are buying certain games and not other games is a topic on its own and definitely way more complicated than your op. I'll leave now :)

come back when you have a valid argument to explain why nfsmw sold so little despite its obvious benefits and developers attitude.

Maybe because everyone who wanted to play it already played it?  That game was already on the market for months. Wii owners also got a PS360 for the games Wii didn't get. Releasing old ports and expecting a million sells is EA's excuse to avoid Wii U and many more third parties. Pretending old games have to sell above a million on a console that's just 5/6 months on the market? Just unbelievable. Even their beloved PS360 sold poorly in the first months. The same will happen with PS4/Xbox 3.

I predict that the OP will be shortly banned.

I also think that there is at least some truth in the opening post. Even at vgchartz, some nintendo fans are saying that they are buying only Nintendo games since they are superior to everything else.

if that ends up being the case then i genuinely hope it's permanent.

And then I get banned for saying the truth about Sony Fanboys but this opinion about Nintendo fanboys is like OKAY isn't it vgchartz :D

OT: Real reason Wii U is struggling right now: no games. and nothing else. For the love of Mario please wait a least a year or two before coming with conclusions.

So is that the same argument which Sony fans were riduculed back in 07? "Wait for Lair Killzone2 Warhawk GT5" and so on?

But let me ask you this then: how come Mass Effect 2 sold fairly well on PS3, when it was released 6 months after the X360 version and wasn't superior in any way, while NFSMW was released after the PS360 version and was superior but didn't sell at all...? I mean... that IS weird!
