Interesting news. I hope the always online for the 720 isn't true. I also hope they don't charge for basic multiplayer next gen. If MS does those two things, I will purchase their console. I'm tired of missing out on their exclusives because of the pay barrier. I miss the hell out of Gears and Halo. I also truly hope they can get their hardware problems together, if that part is true. I'm inclined to believe that because of last years' similar rumor. It would truly be a shame if MS or Sony couldn't launch this year because of said problems.

WTF? = Microsoft is six months behind with Nextbox development.

First thought was "Who is respawn?" Then I read Call of Duty....

But I can totally see Microsoft doing that. They "lost" Bungie so I can imagine them going after the Call of Duty guys as some kind of panic move. Whatever.

Maybe this is one of the "megatons" MS needs to get gamers to accept their always-online bull ****. I don't doubt that EA would love an always-online, no used game box to become popular and what better way than to throw some of their games on it exclusively.
