Forums - Gaming - Destiny Info and Discussion

There doesn't seem to be many threads discussing this new ambitious game from the creators of halo yet. So what do you think of the game? What aspect are you most looking forward too?

Info:

Bungie has emphasized that the universe of Destiny will be "alive". Events may happen in-game that are not necessarily controlled or planned by the developer, which will help to create a dynamic developing experience for Bungie and a dynamic playing experience for gamers. The game's style has been described as an always-online first-person shooter that will incorporate MMO elements,   but Bungie has avoided defining Destiny as being in-kind with traditional MMO games.  Instead, the game has been referred to as a "shared-world shooter," as it lacks many of the characteristics of a traditional MMO game. For instance, unlike many MMO games—particularly MMO—players will not be able to choose from a number of different species for their character, but instead will be limited to playing as a human. Additionally, rather than players being able to see and interact with all other players in the game or on a particular server—as is the case in many conventional MMO games—Destiny will include on-the-fly matchmaking that will allow players to see and interact only with other players with whom they are "matched" by the game-wiki

lol, is there no excitement for this game?

Actually I'm hyped for this game, but what I'm waiting from them is a gameplay footage.

I was looking forward to this game until they announced exclusive content for the PS4. Like, its sort of stabbing the Halo/Xbox fanbase in the back and switching their preference to the PS4. They know that most of their customers will be Halo fans, so its quite silly of them to give exclusive stuff to the PS4 (even if Sony probably paid lots of money to get that exclusive content). And for some reason, Bungie are sure it will be successful by already making a 10 year plan for the game, which seems a bit over ambitious, cause not everything they make will sell like Halo.

Not even in the slightest.

OT: My hype for this game keeps rising with every bit of new info I hear. Sounds like Bungie is crafting another masterpiece!

These whole exclusive deals/content usually only really account for maybe a side mission or some special skins at most. I do see your point on the whole backstabbing thing though. As for the ten year focus, since it's similiar to an mmo like support rather then regular dlc support, so I can see why they would announce the support plan.
