Forums - Gaming - Do people have a greater rooting interest in exclusives selling than actually a buying interest?

We are all essentially amateur analysts. I myself keep saying Vita needs Monster Hunter in Japan, but I have little interest in the Monster Hunter games...I think they're boring.

As for exclusives, using Killzone 3 as an example...it seems to have great graphics and decent story, the gameplay is what really is lacking for me. It's no match for COD when it comes to online multiplayer, which is what I enjoy most from COD games.

I only care about games selling if I really like the franchise, or want a sequel.

i don't think many of any of these suggestions (game related) being mentioned would help anyway. i look at what already caters to the console and suggest making more, or better versions of the genre/game.

a Halo type shooter on PS3 wouldn't do any better then a KZ type shooter would on 360. KZ wouldn't sell on 360 yet Halo may do better then KZ but not Halo numbers if it were on PS3.

i root for the games i know can and will sale on each system whether like them or not.

I don't think the people on here are a very accurate measure of what the market is like. Most gamers are casual gamers and won't bother with games people on here might really hype up.

Cause its easier on my wallet. Its currently on life-support but I fear it wont make it though out this year T_T

Sorry to hear this.  Do you have any wish for a game you would want to get and play in your limited time?  Just curious here.

I know I'll get The Last of Us cause its on birthday, but other wise theres really a lot of games I want to spend my time on this year.
