I stopped reading after a while cause I have not played it yet, but to me it sounds a lot like Heavy Rain. I only played the demo of Heavy Rain and it just was not my style as I expected the game to be like 5 hours long.

If you're not a fan of that type of game, you probably won't be a fan of The Walking Dead. Lucky for me, I am a fan.

I think for the majority it's the other way around: I'm a fan of the classic adventure genre but not interested in TWD (which belongs to the adventure subgenre interactive movie, like Heavy Rain). Many people who enjoyed TWD are not fans of the genre.
