COD is not unplayable, Madden was before the Massive patch it got after release. COD is just not recommended at the 50 dollar price tag even if it does come with a PSP COD game. I don't love COD, but it enjoyable to play a match online. But not much to it, if you will only play it in the house. If you could get a internet connection outside (School or work, while on break, it's not bad).
In any case, I would go with the AC3:L bundle, if you want one of the unique Vitas out there. If not, go with any bundle that has a game or genre that you like. COD is not the Ideal choice because, I think in the US, it's a digital copy and not a retail one.
If you are going to pick up any shooter and play it on the go with an internet connection, get Unit 13. It's a great game that has short to long burst of missions and great to play on the go or while waiting. It has a lot of replay-ability, with beating other people's times or just going for the five stars in all 36 mission. I might post a review up on N4G soon.
My game recommendations are;
- Unit 13 - Shooter
- Sound Shapes - Enjoyable musical platformer
- LBP or Rayman - Platform.
- Gravity Rush or AC3:L - action/adventure
- Person 4: Golden, Disgaea 3 or Little Kings Story - RPG
- Ragnarock Odyssey for a decent Monster hunter replacement
- PSASBR or SFXT for a decent fighting game
- NFS:MW or Modnation Racers - Racing
- Smart As - A highly recommended brain training game. Comparable to Brian age, but for the Vita. Worth every penny.
As for the Battery life, I get about 5-6 hours an I have a 3G Vita, with the brightness all the way up. I switch from playing games and listening to music. Sometimes both at the same time.
I also recommend a bigger memory card. A 16GB, if you don't plan on downloading a lot of games, carrying around the Vita cards and not download any music, movies or pictures. A 32GB, if you plan to carry around more digital content, then physical content. I personally have a 32 and carry around a lot of Digital content do to the massive sale on PSN, but switch them out with content manager and my PS3.
