Forums - Sony Discussion - vita question

the battery is 3-5hours depending on the brightness and Wifi , if u want some good games to play get :
Persona 4 Golden
Uncharted Golden Abyss
Little Big Planet Vita
Gravity Rush
Zero Escape Virtue's last reward(highly recommended best handheld game in 2012)
just ignore the rest , except if u want to waist ur time and money , Assasin's creed 3 Liberation , is also nice but alot of framerate issues and stuff .

Don't tell me you didn't like WipEout 2048? That's a near perfect racer.

Do not get the COD bundle. Literally get any other bundle but the COD bundle. The game is unplayable and a waste of time even if you love COD. Get the Madden, LBP, AC, PSABR, or even Lego Batman bundle instead.

Why not for pricing value its the best deal. He can sell COD new and buy like 2 games.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

The Library is bigger than you think. Games like One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 coming out for it with cross buy is sweet!

I recommend you give that thread a peek. Everything related about Vita games is in it.

nice thank you i'll check if i see anything i like , i have  my 3ds and  i play it alot , but i would  love another handheld (especially if it  gets a metal gear)

People that don't have a vita will try sway you out of getting one, I have one and I have never regretted buying it at all. the 4 gig memory card isn't really enough I just upgraded to the 16gig. Only get a 4 gig if your not planning on downloading more than 1 game from the Ps Store.

I see you have ps3s. If you have ps+, you will get some pretty good games (MK in EU at the moment). Sadly UC and GR have expired. Personally I dont think 4 GB is going to be enough. If you only plan on getting retail games, then it will be fine. However if you plan on downloading games or have ps+ you will eventually need to upgrade to a bigger mem card (like I did). As I have mentioned Gravity Rush is a pretty good game as are Assassins Creed Liberation and Persona the Golden though I havent played these yet.

No they haven't... they are still listed as free on ps+ in the store (eu)...

OT: personally i can only recomend it. I'm haveing a lot of fun with it. As for games I have:
- LBP Vita
- PSASBR
- UC:GA
- Gravity Rush
- NFS most wanted
- AC:L
- Smart As...
and some psn games

All of those are good games and deffinitely worth a try.

COD is not unplayable, Madden was before the Massive patch it got after release. COD is just not recommended at the 50 dollar price tag even if it does come with a PSP COD game. I don't love COD, but it enjoyable to play a match online. But not much to it, if you will only play it in the house. If you could get a internet connection outside (School or work, while on break, it's not bad).

In any case, I would go with the AC3:L bundle, if you want one of the unique Vitas out there. If not, go with any bundle that has a game or genre that you like. COD is not the Ideal choice because, I think in the US, it's a digital copy and not a retail one.

If you are going to pick up any shooter and play it on the go with an internet connection, get Unit 13. It's a great game that has short to long burst of missions and great to play on the go or while waiting. It has a lot of replay-ability, with beating other people's times or just going for the five stars in all 36 mission. I might post a review up on N4G soon.

My game recommendations are;

  • Unit 13 - Shooter
  • Sound Shapes - Enjoyable musical platformer
  • LBP or Rayman - Platform.
  • Gravity Rush or AC3:L - action/adventure
  • Person 4: Golden,  Disgaea 3 or Little Kings Story - RPG
  • Ragnarock Odyssey for a decent Monster hunter replacement
  • PSASBR or SFXT for a decent fighting game
  • NFS:MW or Modnation Racers - Racing
  • Smart As - A highly recommended brain training game. Comparable to Brian age, but for the Vita. Worth every penny.

As for the Battery life, I get about 5-6 hours an I have a 3G Vita, with the brightness all the way up. I switch from playing games and listening to music. Sometimes both at the same time.

I also recommend a bigger memory card. A 16GB, if you don't plan on downloading a lot of games, carrying around the Vita cards and not download any music, movies or pictures. A 32GB, if you plan to carry around more digital content, then physical content. I personally have a 32 and carry around a lot of Digital content do to the massive sale on PSN, but switch them out with content manager and my PS3.

I usually get about 6-8 hours of vita battery life on a full charge.
