New Xbox 720 title could be announced this January

Project W will be unveiled on Jan. 14th.

A major announcement is scheduled to be coming this January from the developer behind the game "Dungeon Siege" and the title could end up being ported onto the Xbox 720.

According to a report from Polygon yesterday, Gas Powered Games will be unveiling a brand new project that has been dubbed "the next big thing."

The company's website features a countdown page that will expire on Jan. 14th, which is ironically one day before Disney will make their major unveiling as well.

"Ready for Something Wild?

"Be the first to see the next big thing from the designer of 'Total Annihilation,' 'Dungeon Siege,' 'Supreme Commander,' and the team at Gas Powered Games," the site stated.

The countdown is currently at 26 days and under 1 hour before they reveal their next major title, which could end up on next-generation systems.

"Project W" seems to be the codename of the game, but there has not been any confirmation of other details surrounding the title.

Keep your eyes peeled for more details regarding this title in the coming weeks.

There's no way some 3rd party is going to unveil 720. MS will do that and it might happen in CES. Who knows?

Probably sometime before E3 at least.

Considering the social, smart feature, win8, and media focus of the next consoles (well beyond just games) I could actually see Microsoft unveiling the neXtBox at CES. I was expecting a seperate event a few months later, but CES could work.

Wrong Microsoft last ces was 2012 showing 2013 Microsoft is not attending anymore
