Once again I'll buy Xbox for Halo and third party titles and Wii U for Nintendo titles.

it will be mainly about the games..then the price.

Hardware power wise it just needs to be powerful enough..no need to burn the house down with the heat it generates lol just enough to have a clear advantage over current gen consoles

Honestly sony will have to fuck up real bad for them to not get my money first. ND, SSM, Sucker Punch etc always deliver the types of games I enjoy the most

For these reasons....I'm kind of interested in seeing what Valve's Steambox is going to be like...

other than controller I think Sony will fulfill these needs.  The controller and price are a question mark but given their history with keeping motion as an add-on and what they went through with PS3 I don't think these will be problems.  We know they have the first party studios to give the most diverse high-quality exclusives as we saw this gen.

same here I just love their first party game.  Over half my library of over 30 games is exclusives.  I also think they're the most likely to stick with the basic controller next gen and have move as an add-on.

Hey bud. Ive been here and there on VGC last few months. 

I make far less threads though nowadays. I remember classic VGC of 2007-10. Golden VGC when there were many supporters on all sides even a fairly good MSFT presence here then to. I made loads of threads back then. Jesus I even remember a time before CGI Quality and the like ( the new oldies of this generation of VGC ). I feel like an old timer here now. Some great members gone. Remember Soriku and the like?

Care mostly about Japanese support here as usual. So it looks like Nintendo and Sony for me and I'll most likely skip over the next Xbox because MS supported jRPGs for a while and then gave the finger to us fans mid-generation.

IF they change it I hope they don't go too crazy with the new controller design. That said I can think of some real fun implimentations for the break-off controller though

For me it's just a matter of when, not if. I already have a Wii U and will eventually get the other eighth generation systems regardless of what bells and whistles they support. I want to play every game out there, so I don't have much of a choice :)

That being said, I really don't care about non-game applications and multimedia options. I just want games. Everything else is icing.

Of course multimedia matters, but the main reason for my console purchase is the western games. I really don't care about japanese games, so my preferred console will most likely be next Microsoft console.
