They seem to be going for $400-$500. How does that compare to Wii sales on eBay after launch?

Not too bad a sign. The main takeaway messege from that link is that if you want to sell game consoles at a profit, have a good user feedback score first, and don't try to make more than $200 profit or it will fail.

Haha, that's pretty funny! Not what I was expecting to see in this thread.

Anyway, "asking prices" are a lot different than "closing prices." I could ask for 1 million USD for a Wii U, but that doesn't mean anybody would pay that amount.
