Aaaah I remember this article =)

I think they might have to get an USP; if only because the competition will get it. What if PS720 only uped the graphics, and nothing else?

Then they would suck, but those aren't going to be the only advancements or innovations even if the input device is the same, because in todays world I would say the system's OS and UI is just as important as the hardware, and I'm very confident they'll have a slew of new features and refinements. And first party titles of course.

I see 4 USP's for the Wii U. Of course their 1st party games. A no brainer. But the controller COULD become something great; not saying it will, but if developers use it I think it could be a real USP. Then we have the Miiverse, which could become a pretty cool feature. But what I love with Wii U is Nintendo TVii! If that shit's coming to Europe I'll be so happy :D

Those aren't just small "advancements or innovations" and "new features and refinements"; those things could sell consoles. If sony and MS only refines what they already got, they'll be left in the dust by Nintendo. They need to bring something new.

as an HD console owner i honestly don't find that impressive at all, HD consoles have loads of media  and social services integrated into them already like netflix, hulu etc

maybe i'm just ignorant of how its such a massive improvement, so what makes it so special to you ( that you would imply that its such a massive improvement over the media and social services offered by consoles already )

as for miiverse personally it looks like something that i'd ignore and just hop straight into whatever game i booted the console up for

Well, do you EVER write anything about a game here? if yes, then you'd probably write it using Miiverse as well.

TVii seems like it'll be much more user friendly using the GamePad and all.

But yes, it isn't new stuff, but as far as I've seen Miiverse and TVii is much more optimized.

What I love about Miiverse is how it's the reverse of Playstation Home. It's built into games, as opposed to having games built into it.

Brilliance.

Just imagine the Miiverse like an "official" forum of a game. You can create conversations with other players about question in how to beat the game or simple talk about it. If I remember correctly you can also create private chat rooms for your friends or create a room for a specific thing. Imo is a really cool idea and you can use it while the game is on the background. The Miiverse is also implemented in some games, so you can see other peoples comments in-game if you so desire.

TVii also looks like a cool idea but it's something I personally won't use.

yeah i totally get whay you're are saying in that its technically a forum built into the console

lol and i do realise that it seems hypocritical for me to say i don't think i'd use it even though i'm currently posting in a forum

but tbh i don't really see it as a system seller

as far tvii we'll see

Regarding Miiverse; what I'm thinking is that once you've tried it it'll hook you. It might not be an obvious system seller, but with time it could be.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

the PS4 will likely need Sony franchises as selling point, so I really hope they have Gran Turismo 6 along maybe with one of their cinematic games lined up for launch - then they might actually win the european wallets

So you are one of those people...

You really believe in the ten year plan for the PS3, because you don't expect the PS4 to launch before 2016.

That makes zero sense, well done.
