2007 is a really good choice.

But I'll go with 1998. As long as we go by North American release dates.

Gran Turismo

etc.

Yeah I've seen 1998 as another popular choice as well.  Them are probably the two most common choices among people because they started a few great franchises as well as make a few revolutionary changes in genres.  On top of that good sequels were brought out those years.

This exactly.  A lot of games will most likely get delayed.  And really there is only a few titles that looks like it will be ground breaking.

No, they have to get them out before new consoles arrives (with a predictable huge graphic gap). They'll come out in 2013 even if they have to be released bugged.

how can that list look boring? honestly? you got a game from each genre and huge and loved games like GTA, Metal Gear and God of War. and really creative games like tear away, puppeteer and watch dogs. also since your a nintendo fan what does nintendo have announced for 2013 so i can add to the list?

i really doubt GTA, Metal gear ground zerio, god of war, the last of us, gears of war, tomb raider, beyond two souls, battlefield, the next call of duty and the nest assassins creed would be delayed. watch dogs maybe because we dont have a concrete release date yet

Many of the titles which may get delayed. Will probably be released on the next gen systems and run on the high PC setting ala Battlefied 3.

from the looks of it will own every year since the gen started, honestly i have so many "must play" games on that list that i wont be able to buy them all.
