I never thought a sequel could be made, cause japanese sales were not very good (40k) and it had 3 different publishers around the world (Namco, Nintendo and Xseed).
But, great news! Probably on the 3DS, if tradition is to follow, but nothing is announced yet. Could be iOS or gree as far as we know.
New Solatorobo title in the works

There has long been talk about a new follow-up to Solatorobo: Red the Hunter. CyberConnect2 president Hiroshi Matsuyama finally confirmed that a follow-up is in the works while speaking with Spanish website Hitsuzen no Deai.
Matsuyama wouldn’t divulge any details. We don’t know which platform(s) the project is being made for, nor do we know when it’ll release.
But hey, at least it’s finally clear that a new Solatorobo is in the works!
