Forums - Sony Discussion - Is it FINALLY time to get a Playstation Vita?

Ok good, so looks like I got my answer. It will be AC+Vita bundle which comes with memory card, and then looks like PSN+ is worth the money to get discounts. Then probably grab sound shape off of the PSN store for cross buy. ANd then i will probably buy LBP new and then grab UNcharted and Gravity Rush used on amazon. I think that's the plan so far.

hmmm, I'd look into buying 3DS XL if you don't have one yet, it already has a wide variety of good games and a lot of them coming out in the next year too, it's really not a good time to be a Vita owner, IMO anyways. It's also cheaper overall so you can actually get more games with it too.

At least they gave you the option on what memory to buy, unlike an Ipad or phone, Which the smallest memory options are still more expensive than the vita with the largest memory options. For a media device it's pretty damn cheap. Unless you into something like a kindel fire, good luck playing good games on that. The vita browser is easily one of the best tablet browsers out there and a step up from and Ipad or Iphone browser for sure.

I dont own apple products if that's what you are thinking, so cant comment on them. Yet what makes it so good compared to them?

It does everything they do at half the cost. It will even let you load your Itunes playlist to your vita. The web browser works, no more checker board loading, and it will run complex web pages like vgcharts with out a sweat. Unlike the Iphone or pad that wont let you use the text editor. Plus the rear touch pad allows you to keep your fingers off the screen when reading long web pages, perfect for forums like this one. The apps are better for the most part too. Skype, YouTube, Netflix and Facebook are all better on the vita. While it's lacking in shear number of apps compared to I products PSM should take up that slack.

Gravity Rush is pretty cool once you get the control down, I don't know about Uncharted though, just don't compare it to the PS3 iterations, it's nowhere near those so keep expectations lower. The thing with PS+ is that you just need to be aware that the free games will go away if you unsub but the discounted stuff will be safe though so if that's what you are primaryly going for and actually get the deals you want then go for it(it's really random so luck is involved.)

Im glad i dont have an ipad, but the browser was still dissapointing for me when i used, since no multitasking and limited html 5 support.I also saw the youtube app to be pretty bad executed.

Sounds great dude :) you are in for a great time ahead. Make sure to drop by and leave some gaming impressions over at the official thread ;) you can find folk to play co op etc there as well

Excellent choices in games as well. As for Uncharted, it's a different beast. it's more adventure than action compared to other games. The amount of exploration in the game is absolutely insane. I liked the SP of Uncharted series in the following order UC2>Golden Abyss>UC3>UC1. PSN+ is definitely worth the money...try it out for a few months and see for yourself. I got mine post E3 and it has paid for itself

Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean are the correct answers, Android is prime for those kind of things right now if you want a more smart phone or tablet oriented experiences.

I like Uncharted series on the console for the subtle romance between Drake and Elena, keep in mind i have not played the third one because I was waiting for GOTY edition (which is out i guess); i am just trying to wait until this month is over before i start gaming again.

Quite busy this month with overnight call every 4th day in the ICU but after this month, I am going to be smooth sailing till June 2013 with all weekends off.

I can't believe I also caught up on 14 years worth of One Piece....in mere few months.

I really enjoy my PSVita. I would definitely say pick one up if you're interested. The device is fantastic, and probably my favorite piece of handheld hardware ever. I wish people would actually buy the damn thing so the system can get some heavy game support :(
