Including ports, I think the Wii U is better than any of those, and even without ports I think it is as strong as the strongest of those; of course, this may change depending on how games get reviewed.

I think it's a really strong line up. They learned from the misstake with the 3DS.

I personally ordered a Premium Pack with Zombie U and Rayman Legends.

No. 50% of the games are already available for the current generation consoles.

Let's check this claim.

....

i think he meant "will be available at wii u release" as if we would look at it at wii u release day.

But that just makes them multiplatform titles. Lots of consoles launch with multiplats. ACIII isn't a port, it's a multiplat. It's just coming out a few weeks later on Wii U.

Thedreamcast was better in my opinion but pretty solid.

Good choice. That's certainly one of the best, if not THE best.

I'm partial to SNES too, if only for Super Mario World and F-Zero.

It has also revealed the 29 additional titles that are confirmed for release in the 'launch window', a period which runs from 18th November all the way through to March 31st, 2013.

Awesome line-up if you're upgrading from a Wii or don't have a console currently. Much less compelling if you have a PS3/360, unless you've been holding off on buying games until the Wii U launch. I can kind of see why some people are planning to wait until some of the "launch window" titles are released.

In a vacuum, though? Yeah, one of the best launch line-ups ever. However, that kind of reasoning always vaguely annoys me, as most people do not live in a gaming vacuum.

Reggie also said this:

More unannounced Wii U games coming, some releasing during launch window

September 24th, 2012 Posted in News, Posted by Valay, Wii U

A number of new Wii U games were confirmed at Nintendo’s press conference a few weeks back. There were some pretty big titles in that group: Bayonetta 2, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Even though Nintendo did announce new games for the console, even more are on the way – and some will be released sooner rather than later.

When IGN prodded Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, looking to obtain more information for interested fans, he told the site that more unannounced games are in the works, some of which will be available “during the launch window”. Unfortunately, Reggie wouldn’t say when we’ll learn about these mysterious releases.

Bugger, I want 10 of those lol:

Black Ops 2
FIFA 13
Ninja Gaiden 3
Nintendo Land
Darksiders 2
Assassin's Creed 3
Rabbids Land
ZombiU
Scribblenauts Unlimited
Batman Arkham City

Have pre-ordered the ZombiU bundle so that's one taken care of and hopefully Zavvi are going to supply me with pre-order codes so I can get some of the others cheap. Am also getting a £20 voucher from Zavvi with my bundle so that should save me a few quid too.

Very impressive lineup indeed.

And that's not including the 8 digital games available on launch day as well... like Toki Tori 2.

Over 30 games on launch day... very solid line up.

I have over 10 games I must buy before March. That's amazing.
