About the Jeuxvideo.com preview, they say the bigger screen puts an end to losing the sweet spot if you move your hands or your head. They say it's a big difference with the original 3DS.

the bomb has been dropped.

Update: NINTENDO 3DS LL (likely XL in NA) as official name

Update 2:

  • Larger screens
  • Better battery life - 3.5 to 6 hours
  • No AC adapter included - compatible with DSi, Dsi XL and 3DS adapter though
  • [Update: Nintendo says that the U.S. version WILL come with an AC adapter. Japan is doing their own thing over there.]
  • July 28 for 18,900 yen
  • Comes with a 4GB memory card

Update 3:

- august 19/$199 for NA (NICE!)

--------------

Talk about it - it's already bought for me and even better, I'll be in the US exactly at the time of launch!

But also post what you remember from Nintendo Direct:

I'll start:

1 - Bravely Default simply beautiful!

2 - Layton in november for the west!

Just like the DSi XL I think the outside is going to be shiny.

But youre right, for the inside matte is much better

So this is the redesign....

Sacrificing portability for play-anywhere-in-the-house portability. Thats cool.

Not making a second stick is disappointing.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

It looks awesome!
Im going to buy it, although i love my Zelda edition 3DS :)
also the preice is very well measured, the lack of ac adapter and base is a smart move to make it more affordable, the upcominbg games and most of the ones available now dont make use of the second circle pad so is understandable they chose to avoid it on the XL...

Also, this confirms Nintendo is working on a new handheld instead of on a redesogn?

This just in

I am very surprised... but im even more surprised that it doesnt include a second analog nub, How is it gonna work with the circle pad pro?
