There are tons of X360 owners that own X360s not for shooters.

My girlfriend's niece bought a X360 souly for Eternal Sonata.

As for myself, for shooters, I have COD2 and Condemned - both launch games. The rest is made up of RPGs, Football games, and a few others.

As for games I've beaten - I've beaten tons.

And I have friends that bought their X360s for Skate, Rockband, Oblivion, and tons of other non-FPS games.

Remember the fact that quite a few casual games have done remarkably well:

Guitar Hero 2 - 1.2m
Guitar Hero 3 - 1.3m
Lego Star Wars 2 - 500k
Lego Star Wars LCS - 250k
POTC - 300k
Scene It: LCA - 250k
Viva Pinata: 400k

And so on, those are just NA sales. The X360 has a good non-shooter userbase. It's just not as big as the Wii yet. But I'd say it's bigger in the US than the PS3 by a large margin.
I agree with you that there is a larger casual market for the 360 than given credit for, but maybe I was unclear about my question.  What I meant was: are there any individuals out there who tend to be more "hardcore" about gaming but still don't have any shooters in their 360 collection?  The fact my roommate has the Elite and is highly knowledgable about most gaming in general [I forgot to mention in my origninal post that he has skate too] is what makes it surprising to me that he has no shooters.  Your friends I can't speak for (seeing as I couldnt guess as to whether they were hardcore or not), but your collection does sounds fairly similar to his in the way i was thinking.  Finding knowledgable ("hardcore") gamers without the big 4 shooters that I mentioned in the original post (or even just Gears and Halo 3 alone) is what I'm looking for.  My hypotheses is that in the US, at least, it would be harder to find.

Make that the big 5, come to think of it. He also doesnt have the Orange Box.

Well, I am a ''hardcore'' gamer, and technically I only own Assassin's Creed for my 360. But I borrowed Gears and Orange Box. Does that count?
And before I discovered the Half-Life franchise in 2006/2007, I didn't play any shooters at all(well, Metroid Prime, but that isn't a shooter).
