Forums - Gaming Discussion - WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 (Add-on wrestlers)

I posted this on GT but i'll do it here too. I was thinking since we never get a full roster due to rights or whatever. Could it be possible for wwe to strike a deal with some wrestler's who are no longer in wwe to make them an add-on? I know i'd sure like a perfectly created model with move sets for a dollar or two. They would split the profits among THQ, wwe, the wrestler, maybe the wrestler's new company. What do you think? Is it a possibility? Would you be willing to pay for that? If you've been buying each game every year it gets tiring trying to make characters.

Around the Network

I wasted 50$ on the shit game it already is. Screw paying more for add-ons that won't make the game any better. Anyone planning on buying the game.. don't.

The WWE owns all the rights to the character.

They wouldn't need to cut the wrestlers in on anything.

What bugs me is how I win matches in 24/7 mode... yet the cutscene ends with me having lost the match. WTF? If you can't make branching paths, don't make the outcome of the match important in the plotline. Instead have someone assault me from behind or something.

Eh, i don't care. Fire Pro Wrestling Returns is better in every way for me. Even with it not having 3-D models and instead going with the old SNES style format. (But better grapics then SNES.)

Right now I'm simming a Marty Jannety and Bart Gun vs Hakeem The African Dream and Big Bossman match. (All created chars cept Bart Gunn though.)

Oh yeah, the real problem though is that the character models take FOREVER to make. That's why the roster is so outdated by the time you get it. The HD X360 and PS3 models take them forever to make... so this likely wouldn't work.

By the time they had a character model done it'd probably be 4-5 months away from the next game.

They really need to start releasing them bi-yearly and fix all the bugs/non-branching plots like stated above.

Just wait until a TNA Wrestling game comes out, it should be much more interesting anyway.
