An incredibly well put together package; a joy to feast upon.
9.5 Graphics
Slicker than a greased weasel. Amazingly detailed cars and beautiful lighting effects.
9.5 Sound
Rich and loud; these exhaust notes could tame a T. rex.
9.5 Gameplay
A rewarding driving model and the improved AI makes for more intense and satisfying racing.
10 Lasting Appeal
There's really no end to the amount of racing you can do here.

okay i just counted and ign has given out 3 9.5 scores this month so far- FIFA 12, NBA 2k12,  and now Forza 4.

It definitely looks like the best racing game this gen so far.

Selnor didn't actually make a thread...I just thought that the OP of this thread would have been Selnor not you lol.

Best racer - possibly. Best simulator? Not from my playtime so far,although it does a better job the F3 which is perhaps all you can ask.

Even with assists off cars don't respond as they should if you spin them, etc. and some tracks seem wider than they should vs real life. Will need to play more to form final opinion, but so far I'd say best racer and probably best balance for more casual player but not best sim.

Note I'm being strict (unlike a lot of reviews I've read) on what a simulator actually is.



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Just like I don't feel the need for a new "Uncharted graphics OMG!" thread every five minutes, I don't see the need for another "Forza is the best racing game" thread. It's cool to be excited about the big franchises but it's a little redundant and splits the conversation between multiple threads.

(I saw where you said you didn't see the other thread--you should request that this thread be closed.)

I put about 40-45 hours into FM3 in career mode and only finished about 25% of the races. If you want to complete the game(all races in 1st and all cars(including the 20,000,000 Ferrari 250) you're looking into the 100's of hours.

OT: There are only 2 reviews I rely on, mine and InsideSim.
