Its very evident that there is little belief in the redemptability of people in these forums.

Punishments have never, and will never act as deterents to people like this, or the general population as a whole. I don't going around killing people, not because I am afraid of being put to death or jailed, but because I believe it is wrong.

I am glad I am not the only one who hasn't lost their humanity on these forums...

to those who think themselves better---what about the little kid---you call for justice in the name of the criminal but not in the name of the little kid---and we are supposed to be the sick ones


the only reason he/she will have to live the rest of her life disfigured and scarred both physicaly and mentaly is because of this man abusing her--She will have to live with her shame and pain for life, and you think he should only get 15 years...shame on you

fair trials should be reserved for those that deserve them...not the ones that are guilty and caught red handed

you say there is a chance for redemption...sure i am for that, but this man does not feel guilty about what he has done, only that he got caught for it

I don't believe that anybody should be hurt or tortured like the child was, that includes the man who did it to her. Its sickening that you people should consider that raping a man or cutting parts of his body off or burning a man alive are good things.

One man may commit a crime and that is wrong but those who commit a crime to him are also wrong.

yes mr 10-15 years---that way when he gets out they will be in their teen years and wil live with the fact that he is out there and may come back (even if he wouldnt)----when he wronged another without remorse for that acton he forfited his right to life--he is nothing more then a virus

Have you ever seen a statue of justice? It wears a blindfold for a reason, justice is blind and rational without bias or prejudice.

Oh and also he is a human being, not a virus. He also has thoughts and emotions.

justice may be rational but it is not always fair, you say you have humanity but you seem only to display it for the criminal and not the victim, what about his/her thoughts, his/her emotions--he raped what ever chance that little girl/boy had at a normal life and you making him into the victim

No the child is the victim. As long as rational justice exists the child would be the only victim.

However if any of your punishments were to go ahead the man would also be a victim, that of cruel and unusual punishment.

any more it seems that justice is about protecting criminals rights and less about retribution to the victim

what i feel this man should get is 30 years in prision, at that time the child will have come to full adult hood---then they should pronuce judgement on him---if they feel he has paid his due release him back into society, if not her/his word is law

So it returns to being about revenge by the victim?
