YOY

PS3 DOWN 29%
Wii DOWN 30%
360 DOWN 59% (REACH anniversary)

PSP DOWN 49%
DS+3DS UP 7% (slipping)

Next week 360 should be close to even YOY due to the Gears 3 special edition console.

I have my doubts... Gears need to move 60k consoles in EMEAA... even Reach moved 40k with 1 million in software... I can't see Gears topping Reach.

I was assuming that the 360 would be down from this week last year.

Just checked and yeah it dropped close to 30k--http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly.php?date=40440®=Others&date=40447

So the 360 needs to move roughly 35k more consoles in EMEAA next week. Which is quite a stretch but I believe it could possibly do it. At the very worst I see it being 10-15% down YOY.

LOL I mixed the weeks .

I agree... Gears can move 35k consoles in EMEAA.

Heh hey it happens to the best of us

I just can't wait to see how much Gears 3 FW will be. I think it may come close to matching Halo Reach's EMEAA numbers (it won't come close to the Americas numbers though)

Why are the US numbers added to EMEAA-topic, I thought this topic was about the EMEAA numbers ...
Another 28k advantage for PS3 in this region!
Next friday FIFA12 launches in EMEAA, FIFA11 had a first week in EMEAA of 1.28 million (PS3) and PS3sales went up 30% to 137,360 and 12 will almost surely surpass those numbers.

So who was right you or him?  was it move anniversary last week or this?  it cant be the anniversary every week.

Anyhow, pricecut should be > move.  The price cut is wearing off already, it was done too soon imo.

This week... I commented that because you said PS3 was down this week... this week is the Move anniversary.

And I guess Move > Pricecut... like Kinect > Pricecut too.

Good one.

Meh, slow week. Nice mid term legs for GT5. PS3 needs more push in EMEAA, if, like it looks, its boosts in America are short-lived.

This is surprising to me...

Rugby World Cup 2011 (X360)
505 Games, Sports
8,835

Rugby World Cup 2011 (PS3)
505 Games, Sports
7,182

A Rugby title selling more on X360 than PS3 in EMEAA??

The only parts of Europe where rugby as a sport should have any notable presence are the UK and Ireland. Knowing that, it shouldn't be all that surprising that the 360 version sold more.

don't forget france they love their rugby more than england i would say,

ps3 had no chance stabilising near 200k.lol,before the holiday kicks in

still zombies all the way

there hasnt been a 360 price cut yet....

so we shall have to wait and see.

And comparing the massive impact of Kinect with the relatively modest MOVE boost is a bit weak...

No point in deflecting... the PS3 price cut hasnt made a big impact.

Ohhh dear... never learn.

So Kinect is massive... Move not... sorry but any pricecut is weak compared to Kinect or Move.

No, Move in terms of moving hardware was/is very weak (doesn't resonate with the casuals at all) so a PS3 price cut should be more effective.

A price cut in conjunction with kinect in the holidays will provide a big boost, they need each other this holiday.

360 is already sooo cheap, i cant imagine a price cut having more than a modest boost, and to be fair i cant really see room for a price cut, maybe a price shift if they discontinue the 4gb and make the 250 the entry level model.

I think MS will be targeting great value bundles this Xmas, rather than cutting price on the base model
