Zoooom....M$ is going to have to be nimble to keep up with Apple and Google. Actually, M$ has then on their heels with Xbox, as they have no way to respond, but it's only a matter of time. Look at Google trying, but teaming with Sony, but that relationship has more problems than solutions, imho. As for Apple, their initial gaming attempt fell flat, but they must realize that it's M$ Trojan horse that needs to be attacked before getting into the gates. This might be farfetched, but I think somebody is going to make a move on Blackberry...maybe Google, given this news about Playbook running android apps. At any rate, I think by the end of summer, things are going to start getting a bit hectic…I heard today that Google lost about 3% market share in searches and Bing gained about 3%...given how it’s Google’s 1-trick pony for earnings, something has to give for them.

It will be update to existing phones. This is why they specified manditory specs...they have lots of headroom for updates and features.
The beauty of WP7 OS is that it is very light when it comes to resources. A single core 1ghz WP7 device is as fast (if not faster) when it comes to day to day normal tasks as a dual core Android...

I'd like to see M$ push game development into overdrive tho...There are simply not enough titles to keep me appeased. I downloaded some demos last week, and I'll give them a proper whirl, but I sure would love to see FIFA on it this year, and maybe another more indepth RPG.

This has been more or less answered but I read somewhere unless it is Windows 8 Phone then it will be no changes to the phones minimum stats, so all the official things should work on all phones.
Thats why people keep getting excited about Windows 8 Phone because this one itself has jumped so much

Scroll down the list of XBL games there, for how long it has been released their are decent numbers considering they are publishing 97 percent of them
