why not buy a Pandora? Better battery life, smaller, better controls, linux, totally open... http://www.openpandora.org/

Thats a great device but I have a few reasons why I didn't get it yet...

- already own a GP2X Wiz, this is pretty much the same thing

- Its 500 dollars and the order wait time is like 6 months.

- Gaming aside, Linux is great if you're looking to spend time on forums to get things to work. I am not in that stage of my life anymore. Just needs things to work with minimal effort. Things like Outlook email, web browsing with VPN access, 6 guitar pod recording...etc

- Kinda fugly and not very portable imo

Design wise, this is the best eletronic agenda from the 80's to be released in 2011.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

I'd go for a Tegra 2 Android 2.3 phone over this thing anyday.

Thats like saying "Id go for a toyota prius over a Ford F150 any day". Android phone VS windows gaming tablet...apples and oranges.

Just know that I'd feel differently if it was more on the lines of Windows 8 instead of 7. Not to mention a Tegra 2 would prolly outperform that new Intel chipset even if it was running Windows games.

I as well hope and wish they gave this more horsepower, but I can't deny that concept is badass. You should be able to install windows 8 on this device when it comes out :)

Interesting.

Not for me though, give me 3DS please.

Too bad the controls are crap.  Also, he's not even playing that game in the vid.  It's either just a vid or the demo vid before you press start.

Did you play it and know for sure that the dpads are crap? Or are you one of those people who wakes up in the morning and says..."I'm just going to insult the first thing I see, don't care if I don't know anything about it"

It could be a video of Quake 3 as that was from September 2010 showcase and OakTrail cpu probably wasnt ready yet.

Not incredibly.  But after buying many a handheld, I can tell you that double D-Pad control style is going to be crap.

Edit:  And as others have stated, if you're going to buy a handheld for gaming plus computer functionality, your best bet would be to go with the Pandora, as it was designed with that in mind.  I can tell you that would handle like a dream controlwise.
