So how should I look at it? I don't like the artstyle at all either.

Well, then that's subjective. And yes, I was talking about artstyle.
But I also think certain Wii games would look noticeably better if they were upscaled with that PC program (forgot the name) to a higher res.

Despite my dislike of IGN I admit that video was welldone, Mario and Reach parts in particular lol. I wouldn't class ME2 as MY GOTY, but yeah, each to their own ;)

Then what would you?

To be honest the year was too tight to choose an exclusive/3rd party game that I would prefer, but I personally thought RDR was well done if a bit linear, but the environment wise/music/mission style was marginally better. But that's probably because I got bored on the ME2 loyalty missions as most of them were practically the same. "Arrive at planet X, find out that Y is in trouble, shoot some shit up, talk to Y, convince Y to join your team". The only one I found truly different was the Justicar mission :o
But for me, all of these are just as good, or marginally better than ME2;
RDR, Blops, AC:B, Reach
P.S I thought Reach could have been so much better had characters had a little bit more substance, but I did feel bad at appropriate times anyway.

To me, 2010 was shit. My GOTY would have been something like Heavy Rain, Mass Effect 2, but neither of them holds a candle to any of the previous goty. In fact neither of them comes close to demon's souls either.
I mean, I am surprised that the reviewers have not pointed out the similarities between ME 2 and dragon age origins. Heavy Rain was great for the first play through, but very short. Mass effect 2 had a great start and a fantastic ending, but absolutely boring middle. Furthermore, its similarity with dragon age leads me to believe that bioware can't really find any other concepts than recruiting, both the games are a commander recruiting people to save the world, I mean, wtf? Dragon Age is even worse, with a ridiculous twist in each and every mission, at least mass effect 2 doesn't have that. Oh and you don't have to Drag-on for ages in mass effect 2(A 60 hour repetitive story FTL).
I haven't played red dead redemption so I can't really say anything about it.

Agreed with the boring middle part. The ending and the beginning were trully awesome, and ending not so because it was an ending but the mission was just awesome-sauce.

Have to disagree with Reach (I didn't find it as good as Halo 3 MP wise, though the SP was better), Black Ops. RDR...eh, I found it a bit boring, but it was better than GTAIV at least.
Haven't played AC: Brotherhood yet. My brother will lend me it.

I found the environments on both Reach and RDR to be their redemeeing features. MP wise I think Reach was an improvement upon 3, and so was single story as I personally thought that Halo 3 SP was abysmal. Haven't had proper playthroughs in both AC:B and Black ops, but I did play them for a good measure around friends house, and I though them massive improvements upon the predecessors.
