Big 3 lead E3 2011 exhibitor list

Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony lead list of 92 companies showing their wares in LA from June 7-9; registration now open.

The Entertainment Software Association, organizers of the Electronic Entertainment Expo, have released the initial list of exhibitor's for this year's event. Some 92 companies large and small will be showing their wares at the event, ranging from the "Big 3"-- Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony--to smaller companies such as developer Behaviour (formerly A2M) and Telltale Games. The list also includes media outlets covering and exhibiting at the event, such as GameSpot. The number of exhibitors is not final, and may increase as the event nears.

The release of the list coincides with the opening of online registration for E3 2011. Qualifying members of the game industry can sign up for admittance, as can members of the media. Unlike in years past, media badges will not be mailed out, but rather picked up at the Los Angeles Convention Center. According to Gamasutra, the move was done in part to crack down on the scalping and forging of badges.

The exact attendance number of E3 2011 won't be known until the expo runs from June 7-9. However, the event has grown since switching back to a large-event format in 2009, when 41,000 developers, analysts, investors, journalists, and retailers turned out at the LACC. Last year, that since number increased to 45,600 attendees from some 90 countries.

e3 predictions:

announcement of Nintendo's Wii upgrade set for 2012 release is my prediction at E3. Why wouldn't nintendo allow those big mainstream HD games not to be one the wii. name: Super Wii

Sony will announce PSP phone and or PSP2 or both as well as show off many of its exclusives and 3rd party ps3 favoured games.

MS will have to announce an exclusive line up for its Gears only Hoilday season or commit commercial suicide for its machine

Activison will announce Pay to Play service for call of duty

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

I think we can all agree that Microsoft will be fine.  Most of us just wonder whether or not what Microsoft has to offer in regards of the Xbox 360 will appeal to the hardcore audience.

Ms has also stated that their main focus will be Kinect. Kinect titles will be coming out the Wazoo, I am kinda hoping Codename:Kingdoms comes out this year though
