All you have to do is look at how much the original PS3 has been gutted to get to the current slim model to realize Sony will NOT follow that same route again.

Next time will be a $400 system at MAX. They'll probably try to hit closer to a $300 price point, imo.

Pretty much a guaranteed 400 dollar or less price-point as of right now...if it launches just an upgraded version of the current specifications...like new video, upgraded Cell-like processor, more RAM, larger HDD, better blu-ray drive...include move controller, upgraded HD video camera, and call it done...will probably happen...But we don't need it yet, the games coming out still look great and play great...we are not calling for a new console, and shouldn't be yet...New consoles are needed when the software outpaces the hardware, and it hasn't even started to do that yet now that they've begun Really utilizing good code
