Beijing, China (178) - The rumor says that The9, a Chinese online game developer and operator, is going to negotiate with Sony on developing Shen Xian Zhuan on PlayStation Portable 2 and PlayStation 3, Tony Park, the vice president of The9, revealed on an internal meeting.
China's The9 recently has reached an agreement with Sony on Free Realms, a MMORPG of Sony Online Entertainment, to bring the game into Chinese online game market. It is also said The9 and Sony also have cooperation on other games, so Shen Xian Zhuan is probably the one.
"It is expected to cooperate with Sony," said Mr. Park.
However, the official of Sony didn't even announce their PSP 2 so far, so it is hard to believe that The9 will really develop games on this platform. As for PS3, if The9 bring their games to this platform, the company will become the first one who develops Chinese online games for PS3.
Recently, The9 has generally strengthened their overseas cooperation, to help the company come back to the first line in China's online game market (The9's performance began to fall down since they lost the licensing of World of Warcraft in Mainland China).
