Forums - Sony Discussion - One Move Impressions Thread To Rule Them All

okay i know a lot of people here got tired of the move impressions threads and all , but i've been playing it for quite awhile, and i tried the tech on multiple games, so to make it simple just read on.

(i will make Wii Comparisions , so don't take it personally if i "offended" any game)

Sports Champions :

Gladiator : Works well , though it actually take a bit of skill and does FORCE you to physically move instead of waggling the controller like you do in Wii Sports Resort to do attacks* , you can play it easily with one motion controller though it actually be easier since it knows where to block for you, instead of you blocking with your other hand

*(i am not talking about blocking just attacks, in WSR you have to BLOCK in order to avoid the button mashers, or in this case the Wagglers)

Table Tennis :  like the one on WSR of course with the 3D tracking, you have to go left and right instead of your Mii doing that for you, its also naturally more accurate and you can do more moves with it, just imagine that the racket is on your hand, and you will get it.

VolleyBall : Timing Timing Timing, its the most important thing in this one, you can't control your character only he/she dives or shoots you can control the position of where you want the ball to go or your character to jump.

Disk Golf : this is probably my favorite out of the other games, why ? its so relaxing, accurate and very fun, you can play with the disk anyway you want, weither its throwing it sideways, rolling it on the floor, or just retardedly throwing it backwards, its NOT like the Disk Golf on WSR , its much realistic.

Bocce : i never played or know how to prounounce bocce (is it Bo-Kay? , or Bo-See?) , but i know how its played, and it plays well here, it know how you throw it and the weight you are doing to the ball, this game takes a bit of learning though.

Archery : to my surprise this one is MUCH easier than the WSR one, its like a shooter version of that, its very easy to get a bullseye thanks to a line that shows you where the arrow is going to land, its a bit of a cheat but i didn't search for a way to turn it off since the game i played demanded quick arrowplay

Heavy Rain.

to start off with this, i wish i played this game with the Move at first, i think it have the best use of an adventure gameplay for move controls, everything is made so that you make those gestures in real, from brushing your teeth to picking up money out of your pocket to opening and closing doors and knocking on them.

Kung Fu Rider.

for the time i spent with this game, i don't see the hate for it really, the only thing that kept miss reading my movement is when the character jumps, i want him to actually dash forward but he/she jumps, because to jump you have do a fast motion up and to dash you have to waggle it down and upwards but with a rhythm, so you accidentally jump instead of dashing, LUCKLY you can fix this, there is an option to fix the sensitivity of the jumps that reviewers seem to not notice, and it fixes the gameplay, keep in mind though i haven't played it ALOT , so i don't see the "you will get bored of it after awhile" yet.

Tumble.

this game packs ALOT , and i mean ALOT of content , it feels pretty natural , and there is a lot of interesting puzzles and modes for a 10 $ game this is probably the best 10$ move game you'd get if you like puzzles , though i gotta say the controls need getting used to , not the move controls mind you but the button layout,

Hustle Kings.

at first i found it confusing (and i still do) since i've played the game a lot on the normal controller (the game is the best pool game since the ones on Sega Genesis!) , you don't have the power meter anymore just you doing a Z-axis motion toward the camera, it feels natural , but also its NOT recommended for anyone who DOESNT know play billiards in real life, since if you mess the strike a bit the ball might fumble and spins or something like that you have to be careful, on the side note , i STILL don't know how to use the chalk on the move controls, anyone got any ideas?

High Velocity Bowling.

i'll keep this one simple , Its pretty Much the same only different controller

Start The Party.

the objects your move controller transforms into makes you kinda forget that you are actually NOT holding them, its THAT accurate, though this game is actually pretty hard, but its a party game obviously ( YES ITS HARD DONT JUDGE ME!) while its easy to win the games, its just hard to beat the highest scores, they give you so little time, but in the end its not hard as in very difficult for kids, no its actually MADE for kids and it shows (that little girl on the cover art made me look like pedobear when i bought it)

Planet Mini Golf.

i can easily say that, that i can play it for a looooooooooooonnngggg time without getting bored, its THAT fun , especially with the move controls, plus if you don't know its very fantasy like and has the play create share in the LBP games, so you keep playing crazy levels of people's masterpieces without getting bored a bit! , HIGHLY RECOMMENDED even without the move controls.

RE5 : Gold Edition.

is this RE4 Wii in HD? , yes it is, plus online coop and versus.

Eyepet.

imagine LBP's content but with a pet game, yes this game have tooooooooooooooooooooooo much content , i was surprised, like the Start the Party game when the controller transforms into an object you feel it in your hand, the controller it self vibrates and add a little weight on your hand make you forget that its just a move controller, anyways on the game itself, it got a lot of content (did i mention that before?) , like mini games, items , levels and challenges (yes there are levels and challenges), online youtube like videos and pictures where you rate vidoes and pictures and online contests,a lot like the ones on "Check Mii Out" channel on Wii, you have to take a picture of your pet doing something, for example , taking a picture of it while relaxing with another real pet, and the one with the best picture or video wins and gets a reward,  i actually recommend this game to anyone who owns the move (even though my balls just dropped six feet under just saying that line, but who gives a crap?)

As for demos i'll keep these ones shorter since i haven't played the full games

Echocrome II (Demo)

it works perfectly ! , and its fun and unique.

The Shoot (Demo)

What is this i don't even? , this is boring..., and i can't really understand wtf is going on , plus the controls are a bit demanding specially if you want to duck behind cover

Time Crisis (Demo)

ACTION! AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! , Drop your cookie now... , this stuff is awesome!

Tiger Woods PGA's something's something (demo)

i don't know what EA was thinking when the made the menues, i at first was wondering wtf happened to my move controller why isn't it moving ? , and it turned out that you have to navigate the menu with your normal controller, and then select that you want to play a hole with the move controlller, so the only part where you use the controller is actually INGAME, but moving on the ingame controls are a bit clunky, scratch that they're A LOT clunky, sometimes i try to swing to hit the ball and i find mr tiger woods fellow is jerking off with his golf club by doing the up and down motion thing like travis from no more heroes  (i am SERIOUS! ) its very funny , but when the controls work they work well , i might be doing something wrong, but they don't work as well as Planet Mini Golf do , probably because you don't putt you stroke

TV Superstars. (Demo)

they don't show much here , but what they show is pretty basic.

Does the starter kit come with Sport Champions or with that demos disk here ?

And how much does it cost ? , can you help me with that Pullus  ?

----

Every Move impressions  have been so good so far , that's very promising

Start The Party! and Heavy Rain are the two games that I'm interested in so far.

But I still need a bigger game.
