EMEAA region is obviously more then Europe, as it includes the middle east, africa, aust....
just 6 months ago Vgchartz had that region as the PS3 being up ahead of the Xbox 360 by about 700k units.. sounds pretty accurate to me.. as now the same regions have the PS3 as only ahead by maybe 100K units tops.. but the data isn't yet showing for REACH sales.. and reach has doubled the weekly sales of XB360 consoles in the UK ( which means like 120k consoles for a week ) .. so its likely the 360 will TIE the PS3 within a week or two in the EMEAA region !! 

After all that, You can beleive whatever you want to beleive..  the whole shipments theory is getting old and IT DOESNT EXPLAIN why Micrsofts Xbox 360 has sold 120 million more games then the PS3 huh?

I guess if the PS3 and Xbox 360 are virtuall tied in some fanboys mind they will just have to admit that people buy alot more games on the 360 -- 120 million more lifetime so far !! That 9 BILLION Dollars more to the M$ crowd.. there's a dollars sign there for a reason..

Well 360 was way ahead.. like maybe near 7 million up.. but then PS3 slim came out, was cheaper, slimmer and more enticing then the old SUPER HUGE PS3 Grille... and for the past year ( until like Jun 2010 )  because of those reasons i said above- the PS3 has had solid numbers and closed the gap down to around 4.3 million units..

The way it looks now, 360 is not only widening the gap again ( the gap is nearing  5.6 now and probably is over that but VGchartz isnt posting new figures as soon yet because of the Halo Reach release), but it has closed such a huge deficit (for this years sales)  that PS3 had on it.. that it looks like  by another 4 weeks ( today is sept 21, 2010 ) the XB360 will surpass PS3 sales for this years 'YEARLY' sales !!

And by the 2010 years end have the 360 back to around a 6  million console lead on the PS3 !!

Really the most daming thing isn't the 360's console lead, its the 360's software sales lead.. Which the 360 has sold around 120 MILLION more games worldwide then the PS3.  The software sales tell another story that says more gamers are on the 360 and the attachment rate on the 360 is higher .. More money for software companies is one reason why companies will continue to jump ship from the Sony camp.. In the end loyalty runs thin because the only reasons those companies really exist is to make games that make alot of cash, which is why you're seeing more big titles on multi-platforms and less exclusives.. 

 


The 360's only shipped about 50 million units of SW more than PS3. You can't really use our numbers since we basically don't track any software sold in Asia, Latin America, or the Middle East where PS3 has an extreme advantage over the 360 software-wise. It isn't even a contest in those regions. In the Middle East PS3 basically makes up about 50% of the total SW economy.

Wow.. you have no clue.. the PS3 division had their best outcomes recently and were still 30 million in the hole and that includes money made from PS2 and personal computers.. so PS3 is still losing alot.. The whole reason Sony actually did well on fiscal earning was because Sony's Financial services division did awesome and that averaged out all the losses of the playstation division.. Converse to that Microsofts Xbox division has made a NET profit on their own the last three years.. and they have over 20 million paying users on Xbox Live paying 50 dollars a year ( that 1 Billion a year ).. 

Software-wise the PS3 sold 120 million less games worldwide lifetime so far versus the Xbox 360.. So software wise developers made nearly 9 Billion more dollars then they did on the PS3..

Truth hurts.. 360 doesnt do well in Asia.. is almost equal in the combined areas of Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia ( EMEAA )... one may do better in in different areas of EMEAA, but consider this.. back in 2009 when PS3 was definately alittle ahead of 360 in Europe.. COD MW2 sold 3.7 Million Copies on PS3 in EMEAA... it SOLD 3.6 million copies on 360 in EMEAA !! Both those of those games were the number 1 seller for both consoles.. so PS3 was ahead back then.. games sales reflect that in the number 1 best selling title in EMEAA..

So even though financial reports have been released you refuse to see them credible but choose to use the numbers on this site when it is a fact they aren't accurate?

The gap was 3.6m, now with new 360 it may be around 4.2m but then people assume ps3 won't sell well this stretch to the holidays. By the end of Dec, by financial reports, i believe the gap should be about 4m

 you speak of PS3 having this miracle sales stretch this holiday, but the holiday season has typically been XB 360's time to shine..and 360's sales will most likely be alot more then PS3's due to Xbox slim selling very well.. and Titles like Reach..

I guess since both systems are virtually tied in your Sony stockholding mind, it doesnt explain why 360 has sold 120 million games more then the PS3.. or why 360's best selling title COD MW2, which was also PS3's best selling title mind you, and COD MW2 sold best in the SAME REGIONS where the most of BOTH consoles exist.. going by software sales alone.. Same REGIONS, where FPS's ar emost popular show there are alot more xbox 360's out there !
