 Afghanistan is a free nation now, that holds democratic elections. Their women can now vote and go to school. Of course there is still resistance but only by the same Al Quada we were fighting from the start. The majority of Afghanistan is not a fighting zone anymore. There are barely any US troops there now due to it being stable. I admit, the biggest downfall of this new free nation is the amount of opium produced has skyrocketed. This needs to be dealt with.
