Nintendo wouldn't be the market leader, that's for sure

Nintendo would be third, probably even lower sales than the GameCube had (I know, it's been said many times already in this thread, but I have to repeat it).

Well, and if MS and Sony had developed Move and Kinect... hard to say. On the one hand both saw the success of the Wii and now they want a piece of the cake, on the other hand Sony already had a patent on a motion controller in 2004 AFAIK. But my guess is that Sony probably would have abandoned their research without the success of the Wii, so I say no, MS and Sony wouldn't have developed motion controller.

2012 - Top 3 [so far]

                                                                             #1                                       #2                                      #3

mario would have upgraded to hd and nintendo would have made mature games.

that is pure ownage.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

Some fanboys would be less arrogant and some other more arrogant.

If there was no Wii, the gaming industry wouldn't be as mainstream as it is now. There also would not be PS Move and Kinect coming out as well.

It would bomb with gamecube support, I think.

I suppose "no motion control" could be translated as "Nintendo does nothing disruptive and continues their Gamecube practices" in which case they would continue being stuck in third place with most of the third-party publishers, journalists, and gamers still treating them as irrelevant relics of the past. Eventually, they would likely either withdraw from the gaming business or become a small-time third-party publisher.

Now that may sound like a dream come true for some fanboys, but that would have some pretty serious effects on gaming. Namely, Microsoft and Sony probably would still continue apealing largely to the gamer crowd that already existed and not even bother with attracting a new audience. That would lead to some serious problems in the future, with gaming becoming a mutually exclusive affair and begin slowly collapsing in on itself.
