It's not a big deal as you think. Youtube and all major sites adapted. In fact, it's even better than their normal uses.
The browser I'm talking about is something like firefox, with tabs. There are some "3rd party" ones that are almost there, but not quite. But Safari sucks ass - hard.

3DS wont be here until next year.(I'm guessing Dec for Japan and March for NA/EU) That gives them plenty of time to rebrand. I don't know that Sony are working on PSP2 traditionally speaking. I think PSP2 will be Sony getting the PSP games on to more and more devices than PSP and letting users have constant access to that content no matter the device. I assume that is why they shrunk the PSP middleware to fit android. |
hmm thats scary, because u know some people can easily hack android so any android phone can run psp games that not nice.
@andre, check out nokia n900 it's better than safari on iphone it support flash and it have multitasking with live previews.

Most devices come with a customized version of Android. I don't see Sony popping on the vanilla distro. They can add protection.
Given the quantity of apps on Android Marketplace I assume many users actually pay for software otherwise it would have entered the no one buys software so i wont develop for it territory already. It's possible to pirate on almost any console, but that doesn't mean that everyone does. Besides piracy isn't the big issue everyone makes it out to be. Most people just aren't arsed to spend the time to learn how to do it and would rather simply pay if the price seems fair which to me is the revolution of these new integrated marketplaces, having affordably priced software and easy access to it which defeats most of the need for pirating anyway.

easily hackable, know there are firmware version of HTC desire interfase that work in nexus one and droid smartphones.
a PSP OS android version coudl be ported to other hardware even cracked to made it easy to crack games, it would be PSP even worse since it could run on random hardware.
I failed to see how Safari is suddenly not cool anymore. Or did you mean its mobile version?
N900 is very interesting device, but it's not mass market one, it seems to be specifically designed for developers and other geeks crowd.

Safari on Ipad is almost useless. It's slow, it doesn't have tabs (just terrible background windows) and needs to reload the page everytime you exit it to another app or even other background window - heck, you don't even exit the program and it have to reload the whole page.
I was sooo disappointed in that... thank god I found some if not great, good browsers for it.
nitekrawler1285 said: I don't think that's true. The PSP has great hardware and can last a lot longer(3DS visuals offer only a marginal upgrade to PSP besides 3D and on the screen size viewable on the devices it's still pretty negligable). |
Hideo Kojima disagrees...

You are most certainly correct. But most people just aren't arsed enough to find out how. If they create appealing software most people will simply purchase it because it's cheap and easier than following internet faqs written by 12 year olds that link to files that may or may not destroy your property and computer.
Even though it is risksy the pay off of PSP being a part of android is probably far greater given how everyone talks about the PSP software sales its not as if they have much to lose.

On screens this small the difference will be hard to see and thus negligable. Most customers aren't graphic whores.
