Poor Ys, that's a great franchise that deserves more, about Nier kinda expected but nothing compared to the disaster here in America.

Nier fucking bombed. Not really a surprise but still, SE can't be happy.

Ys sales are decent, these are the sort of sales Falcom's been settling for over the past few years. Unlike NIS they don't seem to be heading towards DOOM.

Nier's here on the shop shelves but there's been absolutely no marketing for it that I've seen, and there aren't any instore display's either. Someone really dropped the ball there. Maybe they're hoping for word of mouth to work magic.

Their expectations must have been pitiful. I thought they would have shot for Bayonetta numbers.

Nier actually sold well in Japan. In the west it will be lucky if it breaks 10k. Our local shop only got 3 copies for PS3.

and I bought one of them.

The game was not made by square-enix, so i have no idea why anyone would think Final Fantasy: Nier would be okay.

SE published it. They also published Batman Arkham Asylum.

Cavia developed the game. Makers of Drakengard. Nier is probably one of the best games this year too.
