Forums - Microsoft Discussion - NEW PROJECT NATAL IMAGES!!

My 3 year old son will love this. It's hard to see Natal failing with the casuals. Obviously the core are a different matter. I wonder if we will see any deep and compelling uses of the technology. But at the end of the day, controlling the dash and power toggle with voice and hand gestures would be amazing enough on it's own.

If the price is right ($250 for bundle), then they may get some casual love. Otherwise, I really don't see this as the "future of gaming".

My guess is that they are using the same game because Microsoft has a wealth of data to use for benchmarking and to make improvements.

In other words, get it working right on one game, that should transfer over to other games.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Is that white ugly squareish box thing below the TV the actual natal?? That's a bit rubbish looking.

Also I'm sure that everyone here has a front room that uncluttered and large. Oh and a TV that big too. I hate this type of "ideal senario" photos.

White squareish box?

Im not sure about you but my front room isnt filled with clutter and junk, Im not judging how you live im just saying.

That TV is too big? Really you want a TV like

This?

I never heard someone say that the TV is too big, thats a first..

Yeah looking at my consoles owned was a bit misleading as I'd not yet been bothered to actually update the games I own, ha ha ha!

I actually own pretty much every current console and others beside.

Oh and I wasn't complaining about that TV being too big, I'm all for having a huge TV (I have one myself after all) my point was that the average person doesn't necessarily own an HDTV as big as those shown in these pictures.

I think most kids in particular probably play games in their bedrooms, on smaller TV's be they HD or not.

So what I'm saying is, I would prefer that MS release some screenshots with natal in a real front room for a change, just to show us. I should likely make my point clearer too.

When Natal goes on sale, All this talk of lag and this and that, won't matter. Natal will be updated or worked on tell the lag is more than non-existant.
YOUR a hardcore gamer, you can't possible understand the casual market... Moms, GRandma's and teenage girls will knock down your local wal=mart and this is not including the appeal to the male gamers that are more open to motion controls.

once you captivate that audience your going to have sales like you see with the wii, Natal is the next step in the motion control wars... which people will buy just for your motion contolled games and party games. Girls are a big part of the console wars now and I think everyone forgets how much wii is loved by them and how much they don't care for the xbox and the ps3.

Natal will sell like hot cakes, fact.............

So go and comment what ever you like. This won't change the facts I have put down, yes they are facts......

The only additional bit of information is the white box under the display, which is presumably closer to the production model camera.

If you look a little closer, you'll see that the white box is just a cardboard cutout or something used to hide the actual peripheral.

Or perhaps that is how they intend to keep manufacturing costs down "you wanted a $89.99 Natal, well here it is!"

Past Avatar picture!!!

Don't forget your helmet there, Master Chief!

I agree, most kids dont own a TV that big, but then Natal is for Families not just kids.

I want a new game, besides 'Big Red Ball Attacks You' lol.

LOL...remember last summer after E3...and SO MANY people from this very site saying Natal was vaporware, and might neve come ou...lol...keep on doubting Natal, and thinking it's not going to sell sell sell.
