Na, the 360 would still win by alteast a week. Maybe 2 if it has a good enough week during the Halo: Reach beta.

I know the Japan preview isn't always that accurate, but it pegs PS3 at 18 - 24k this week. We'll find out today/tomorrow.

Okay when you say "will PS3 SALE 35m before 360..." is that how they say it in Europe? Because in NA we would say "will PS3 SELL 35m before 360..." Can anyone answer that?

On topic: No. It'll be close but 360 will hit 40m before PS3 hits 35m.

it's a trick question because the PS3 will never get within 5M of 360 sales. That's what adjustments are for!

I'd say unlikley just looking at the current numbers.

And with adjustments I'll say no way. You'll note I'm sure that PS3 got adjusted down this week (34 million + 130K (so far) =/= 34.09 million).

I don't know if there has been any 360 adjustment.

At the current rate, highly unlikely. 360 is at 39.44, PS3 is at 34.09 (this is before Jap numbers). The current outselling rate is 200K to 150K (averages) that makes it about 1/4 more than the 360.
The only way this is going to happen is if every week up to then is at least ~3/7 more or better.

No it means *you* think it is a great gaming machine. The rest of us know that tofu has a very mild, very bland taste that can not be changed by cooking...only covered up.
