Forums - Gaming Discussion - Deus Ex 3. Thoughts. (Don't be to negative I'm sensitive XD)

I loved Deus Ex One. It's basically, So, different, but the same, yet bad. BUT I loved it as did other people ( I don't make sense get used to it chum)

Deus Ex 2. Unlike A lot of Fans, I enjoyed it. It was just too short. The gameplay decisions, were dumbed down... and it didn't benefit the combat aspect as it wasn't anymore fluid. But, it still is one of the only games to offer Deus Ex 1 style game play so I still Love it.

Deus Ex 3... Obviously If you look at my Sig, I love Squeenix, New, Old, Fat and Grey etc.  And I don't think they're doing anything besides the CG (which they're good at very good at) and Owning Eidos which creates some office politics and creative differences obv.

my problem I'm worried about is that none of the original creators are influencing this (like they did in 2 (yet still some think they crashed it into the ground anyways))

But the Deus Ex 3 team said they played the first one. And tried to get what they could. I just still have a scared feeling they'll turn it into a shooter. Which Deus Ex, Wasn't it was An RPG with guns. Before Fallout 3 :P

sorry if I write confusing I have problems typing my thoughts :-/

I think it's possible to create a true successor in a franchise without one of the original creators on board.

As to whether Eidos Montreal will be able to accomplish that... who knows?

I lost faith when I saw the augmentation list.

Hmmm :-/ so it's basically like Bioshock, mass effect 2 in that regard. Which Is basically like 2.

The part I'm hoping most for. Is every situation, there is multiple ways to approache the situation and succeed, like you can talk to them. Shoot them, bribe them, sneak past them, etc.

The first 2 had that... What me myself don't want is, that it turns into, just a plain shooter like bioshock and mass effect 2. With RPG abilities. (I loved Bioshock and Mass Effect 2) Just don't want Deus Ex 3 to be like that., but it probably will. And will maybe be worse than those ones... D:

Eidos being now owned by SE will make no difference whatsoever on the game aside of the production value and marketing.
