Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Which is your favorite 360 game besides Halo 3?

Even though I don;t own a 360 I have lot's of friends who do and the most entertaining game I've ever played is Bioshock.

I would say PGR4, very dissapointed to see it sell so badly.

Then Virtua Fighter 5 sweeps the board.

I loved BF2:MC, but if you had it on the PS2 or original Xbox there's no real reason to buy it. I played it at my friends dorm before though and I would say it was slightly better than the PS2 version, mostly because the graphics made things clearer.

mass effect, gears, or bioshock, all take the crown

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

State your favorite 360 game besides Halo 3 and why. I am not assuming your favorite is Halo 3, but you can't pick that.

I am asking because, although I realize there are many, many good 360 games, I want to buy just one in addition to Halo 3.

If you are limited in the number of games you can buy, I suggest staying away from another shooter since you have  great one already.  Though Bioshock is amazing, it is over when it's over and there is no multiplayer.  Instead, you migh consider something that is fairly long and you will get to spend quite a bit of time with to get your money's worth until you can purchase the next.  Oblivion (RPG) might be a good bet if you like the genre.

If you don't buy a lot of 360 games, I would recommend one of these three:
1) Mass Effect (long RPG)
2) Orange Box (five games)
3) Call of Duty 4 (if you have Xbox Live Gold)

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

Bioshock for sure. Just got mass effect and it's fantastic, but Bioshock is amazing.

Having never actually played any of them, My favourites are Mass Effect, Bioshock and Viva Pinata.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
