Im surprise aout all the negative comments. This vid, old built or not, 2d trees or 3d trees, or whatever, still looks better than all videos I saw from other racing games on console. Would someone be kind enough to post a vid that shows a better looking racing title on console? Im not a professional when it comes to racing titles so I would appreciate if someone can enlighten me, I want to understand some comments.

Thats a fairly big jump in terms of track detail imo, if you love GT and cannot praise any other driving game then don't bother clicking the link please its not worth wrecking a thread for (directed at anyone, not Icyedge lol).

You're probably best off just ignoring such posters, if they're that deluded to type such a sentence then you really aren't going to change their mind.

again, you should go play Afrika ...

These days pretty much any high budget racer has great car models, since that's what most people look at when playing. So you barely would notice any difference, especially in blurry videos on youtube, especially if you not a graphics whore like me. Bottomline - if there's any significant difference between high-end racers graphics - it's in backdrops and enviroments, at least these're easier to spot on even in low-res video.

Well, Forza 3 has 2D trees as well =) They're hidden in a second row.

Yeh kinda like how sum ppl alrdy claiming crysis 2 is the best looking game without the game being released yet they just base it off sum article saying it is, and you know why this forums really becoming a joke? look @ warons post.

looks like that big change in AI was complete BS to me - cars still drive in the same line except that on straight parts of the track they drive left and right all the time.

yes gt5 has night racing diff times of day and weather, unlike a certain other game.

 

talking of that other game have you ever tried racing up behind opponant,? he will almost evertime just drive of track.

I agree its dissapointing that there is no night racing or weather cycles but on the other hand how much level of car customization will be available on GT5? I know it won't be anywhere close to the extent of the "other" racing game. Each game has its tradeoffs.

Notice the highlighted. Best looking is much different than best. One describes how it looks which is a portion of gameplay one describes gameplay which cannot be judged by watching a replay.

Are people seriously still arguing about the features of a released game and an unreleased one?! Ugh!

Why is it so wrong for these games to co-exist, you guys??
