Forums - Sony Discussion - Rumor: Sony Makes Huge Exclusivity Deal

Could it be...the one and only...MGS5?!

Nah, thats way too big. I can hope though.

Around the Network

Peacewalker is MGS5. I think it could be an iteration of MGS4 using the same engine.

Just want to play good games

Ok, I'm not going to get my hopes up, but if they indeed were spot on with a previous rumor, then it's one of those (since it's "as big as San Andreas timed exclusive big"):

- GTA5

- Game from ex-Infinity Ward guys

- FF7 remake.

- MGS6 (titled MGS5)

- Assassin's Creed 3

- Gears of War 3

- FFXV

- ...maybe a loophole to get Bungie on board?

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

it better be Twisted Metal

A PS3 exclusive GTA using all the blu ray capabilities with a huge map not possible on the 360...

Around the Network

Hmm, perhaps one of these...

- FF VII Remake

- KH 3

- Gears of War 3 (not as an exclusive, but multiplat)

However... I'm looking forward to E3 2010

2012 - Top 3 [so far]

                                                                             #1                                       #2                                      #3

FFXIII-2? With the content that was cut from FFXIII they could make another game.

Possibles:

GTA V
next Assassins Creed
Bungie game
Bioshock 3
Crysis 2
Resident Evil
Tomb Raider (not big anymore thought)
MGS 5
Game made by ex Infinity Ward guys

Unlikely

Next CoD game
Mass Effect trilogy
Gears trilogy
FFVII remake
Half-Life Ep 3/ any Valve game
New Bioware titles: KoToR 3 or Dragon Age 2

Bungie game

There is no way in hell Bungie would release a PS3 exclusive game after the success they have had on the xbox.  I also highly doubt GTA5 just because of the dire financial straights Take 2 is in, but they are notoriously poorly managed so I'll leave that one open.  I also doubt Bioshock 3 and a game from the infinity ward guys, again because of better success on xbox.

My money is on this being much smaller than anybody expected.  GTA: San Andreas was thrown out there to get people talking, but when(if) it's finally announced most everybody here will be disappointed.

Never say never (or 'no way in hell' in this case). They're independent and Sony may believe they can produce a top quality game and offered them some incentives. They also might think (wrongly imo) some of the Halo fans would cross ship. Another reason would be Bungie looking for a new challenge but the reason I put them on possible is because Sony would probably be happy to bring them on board to try and recreate the success Halo has been for X-box with a new IP.

As for the Infinity Ward game, they won't have the CoD IP anymore so they'll almost be starting from scratch giving them the opportunity to build up a new fanbase on PS3 whilst trying to transfer the small core fanbase from the CoD and Modern Warfare.

Thinking about it you're probably right on Bioshock and GTA (unless they're paying a large sum for development).

Considering how much money Bungie has made on the 360, I sincerely doubt that sony's games division could convince the board of directors to let them cough up enough money to bribe them into an exclusive game.  Sony as a whole hasn't exactly been rolling in profits recently, much less the games division so they would have a really hard time justifying such an expense.  IMHO Bungie is the least likely candidate out of all of those.

FFVII remake using 3 BD-DL discs, only really possible on PS3.

holy...it could be everything...im just gonna wait and see what it is....but in the end it only will be Dead Or Alive 5 or Onimusha 4....osnmething that is not bad but never so big like the GTA SA deal...
