I have had an XBOX 360 for quite a few years now and prefer it due to the full XBOX live experience. When i purchased my 360 games wise it was clearly, handsdown the better machine. But since the year Halo 3, Assasins Creed, COD4:MW, Gears Of War 2 which i think was 2007, the PS3 had been creeping up year by year and last year i feel easily had the best exclusives.
This year the PS3 has been more interesting so far, though i dont think this will last as MS seem to have a better line up and have been keeping quite tight lipped (Plus the media loved NATAL). But in conclusion overall i agree the xbox has more quality games overall, but in the last 2 years i'd say even - in the last year i'd say PS3 easily. If we are going to talk about who has the best games overall - we may as well all get out our ps2 again. What a gamer should be interested in is the lineup of games and recent releases. So despite how much i hate to admit it - PS 3 easily has the upper hand (for now atleast). And yes i now i took the bait;o)

Hold on. So you are saying that the company that services (often for free), delivers and offers operating software on 90% of the worlds PC's is also manufacturing the console with the best reviewed games? WOW thats a surprise.

Isnt it more to do with whether you enjoy the games rather than how highly they are rated? For example, Just Dance is rated very badly by most critics but clearly loads of people enjoy it otherwise it wouldnt be selling so well. I know most people complained Assassins Creed was highly repetitive, I something I didnt noticed until it was pointed out to be busy I was too busy enjoying playing it.

So it really all about personal tastes

That really is a big point... and it's a widely accepted one, which is why this isn't really something that's been mentioned FOREVER.  Wii games in general just don't fit in with reviewer sensibilties... yet clearly fit in with the sensibilties of the greater public.

As for the PS3.  It's been out a year later...  Now I know what your thinking....  "That doesn't matter... the 360 still has more 80 or higher rated games."


However, another important point is... scores are relative for most of these games.   Most Launch games that scored 80 or 90 would be mere 70's

While now a days, the PS3 and 360 have about the same standard of games.  I'd say that's been the case since about the launch of uncharted, but it's really a hard thing to quanitfy.

So even among two very similar consoles... a comparison like this doesn't really work.

reviewers on metacritic are mainly from the US.
they always seen biased toward PS3 exclusives or PS3 version of the multiplatforms.

example, Bayonetta got worst reviews on PS3 version, but 360 version of FF13 was worst and get the same score as the PS3 version.
see there, lots of reviewers out there were really biased toward the PS3.

anyway, nothing beat PS3 exclusives lower score GoTY.
example, Uncharted 2 win over 100 GoTY and it got lower rating than most games out there.

All I know is that I probably won't reach over 50 retail games in any console's lifetime.

did you ever know that you can play a movie by pressing play, halo waypoint has red vs blue which can be played and a count for halo related achievements thats the best one in which it motivates me to play halo games more to increase my rank currently at 48.

and for the toy soldier comment, i can keep playing a demo forever and enjoy it i guess you never heard of that right. and for the guy that is being sarcastic and saying i will pay ye 1000 for halo way point copy he can go fuck him self cause it aint funny.
